True friendship is built on a foundation of mutual respect and tolerance. As we learn to appreciate each other's unique qualities, our bonds grow stronger ☺️🤝👫. +++ Retweeting is very supportive and much appreciated. Thank you, my friend. +++ All information = Expand Tweet + Visit profile +++ #quotes #poetry #philosophy +++ Let us all ‘unite as one people‘. May all humans become friends with each other, and with our mother earth. Mathias (Eternal Ninja). #MathiasEternalNinja #ShinTaiKenRyuShinTaiJutsu +++ Sending you the same poem/thought more than once, is part of my art form. It requires enough time, to fully digest the beauty and the depth, of a poetic/philosophical thought. +++ Random page from my website (in case you are interested): eternal.ninja/poetry-thoughts +++ @IreneJo45969626, @GraysonWinters, @MusikBuzzOnline, @dreamworld2222, @mmjbillboard, @Yedda_Helen, @cherielle100, @mostra4u, @Maryrossez, @Valerie92831962, @AFMan_88, @myelita, @ngari_muriuki, @TheCharismaCafe, @BestBallJunkie, @ChizuNekoNinja, @Dark_side_cat_, @Gertie80026056, @GundersonD, @kjonesy1587, @Jinqiujack3, @GuruHok, @Sky15022010, @UmE2kAn, @SusanBoylesCat, @GgmAndrews, @yeliavilan, @MLAdQ1J6pFJ9D2Q, @geopolytica, @morganluis15, @MZEXO, @chapinosin, @yousfnorhan, @ANGELESBERMEJO1, @Soriafriasoria, @Pratibha_Tweets, @SilencePossum, @isnalypacheco, @mrkandrws, @lorettafaucher, @MyBoxerLuvMac1, @Rene__Schroeder, @BizzleLeoZquad, @Ina00605626, @ChrisTurcot, @KumarPr14100092, @RafatIb31937518, @rannynm11, @JohnNosta, @DaemonLDoomsayr +++

@Autistic_at_40 @AutisticCallum_ I was diagnosed in my 50’s. I’ve since replayed in my head over and over like a movie what I remember of my pre-diagnosis life. I’ve re-read my diaries from the age of 13 to 40 ish. I see clearly now… my masking skills are actress level & still required in my corporate job.

People who find out they’re autistic in adulthood were not OK before this point. I am yet to speak to a late identified autistic person - whether or not they were ever able to mask at any level - who was OK. Very far from it. Imagine being disabled and it not being recognised 😶

@ItsEmilyKaty @AutisticCallum_ This is true. As re-read my diaries from the 70’s and 80’s after obtaining my formal diagnosis at the age of 57, I was able to conclude that I experienced 18 « metoo » events.

Research suggests that 9 in 10 autistic women have experienced sexual violence, with over half being 15 or younger when they experienced this. Safeguarding autistic young people is essential. And teaching consent, boundaries and healthy relationships is so important.

Many autistic people have so much anxiety because, from a young age, we’re taught that our natural differences, as well as innocent things we do for ourselves (and things we can’t do), can anger other people and result in them punishing us, even when they’re not affected by them.

A societal stance my autistic brain can’t comprehend is how acknowledging that someone has treated you badly and calling them out on it is considered more disrespectful than actually treating someone badly. It’s as if drawing attention to a misdeed is worse than committing one.
