The rule changes on these options in SFI24 would have had a bigger negative impact on uptake than the price reduction
I would still use these options at new payment rate but SFI23 rules
I wouldn’t use these options at old payment rate and SFI24 rules

So income forgone rates are being reduced in SFI26 to keep more land in production but we’re also a “rich country 🫤 that doesn’t need farmers…”

If a person earning £100,000 a year does a day's overtime, how much do they get to spend on stuff? It'll shock you. There are 260 or so working days in a year, and so £100k p.a. equates to £384.62 a day. They then pay - £230.77 in income tax - £7.69 in NICs – £24.36 in VAT. They can buy something worth £122.80. If someone on £100,000 knows their extra day's work will only net them £120, they are likely to do something else instead. A tax system built like this does not promote growth.

Making the most of potatoe stores needing to be emptied so that new crop can be harvested and stored. The other option for these potatoes was to be dumped and wasted. Into the cattle they go to be recycled and turned into quality protein

The only way to fill your grain drier. Many systems have had an easy life this harvest, a trench conveyor controlled by the drier can take even the wettest harvest and make it a breeze! #harvest25

@ArableSam @hanslope @CLAAS_UK Similar in terms of 1st wheat entry. Last year it was our best margin crop, but this year shows it’s yet another crop that needs to be averaged over a few years to be clear of risk/reward!
