If you find someone smarter than you, don't compete. Just learn! Instead of competing, embracing the chance to learn from those who are more knowledgeable can enhance your own understanding and skills.

When I first joined a global company, I noticed something. During presentations, even the most junior employees spoke with great composure. They delivered confidently, and when things didn’t go well, they rarely panic.. At first, I wondered if it was about training. Over time, I came to realized it wasn’t just about training, it was, in many cases, about the security of their upbringing. They grew up with abundance which ensure that one wrong decision wouldn’t define their future. Mistakes were setbacks, not catastrophes. For many of us in who grew out of Africa, the stakes can feel very different. Failure is often experienced not as a lesson but as a threat. One that can reinforce economic hardship or close off opportunities that are already scarce. When every opportunity feels like it must succeed, the fear of getting it wrong can become paralyzing, and that fear even shows up as stage fright or hesitation. Confidence flourishes where there is enough security to absorb failure. When people know they can fail without jeopardizing their future, they are more willing to take risks, speak up, and grow.

NIGERIA POLICE ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO VIRAL STOP-AND-SEARCH INCIDENT ON LAGOS-BENIN EXPRESSWAY The Nigeria Police Force has begun disciplinary proceedings after a video went viral showing officers attached to a stop-and-search team on the Lagos-Benin Expressway allegedly acting unprofessionally and making derogatory ethnic remarks toward a member of the public. The officers involved, comprising one Assistant Superintendent of Police and three Inspectors, have been identified and are currently in custody pending an orderly room trial. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, to conduct a full and transparent investigation to determine each officer’s level of involvement and ensure appropriate sanctions are applied. The conduct shown in the video does not reflect the values of the Nigeria Police Force. Ethnic profiling and disrespect toward any citizen will not be tolerated, and officers who fall short of the Force’s standards of professionalism and respect will be held accountable. The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to fair, ethical policing and to earning the trust of the communities it serves. I can see that argument, she is a really good player and has a lot of attributes that would indeed make us better. But I think her recent injury record gives pause for thought and making her the best paid player by some distance potentially creates issues down the line with baseline salary cost. All factors to be weighed.

Have said many times before think we're a long way from the stage where transfer fees should be a big preoccupation in women's football (vast majority of transfers are free across the board). Salary is what matters most and Arsenal have gone to big salaries for big players this summer.

Two truths can coexist. While you are more concerned about reputation of Enugu Air, safety in aviation sector and lives of passengers should be a concern to you. That it happened with Air Peace means it should be happening and people should not raise safety concerns with the Aviation sector? You wrote an entire epistle just to call the Enugu Air incident "minor runway excursion" with your concern focusing on the dragging of the Airline than the lives that would have been lost if the aircraft exploded or caught fire 🔥. Are you for real? Because you were not involved. SMH

It is unfortunate that some individuals and media companies are exploiting a minor runway incident involving Enugu Air. In aviation industry—runaway excursion is a norm, even though expertise reduced its reoccurrence. In the video is Air Peace similar event in 2015— Thread:

STOP WAITING FOR THE PERFECT TIME TO BUILD! One of the biggest lies people tell themselves is, "I'll build when everything is perfect." The truth is, there is never a perfect time. Prices of building materials change, economic conditions fluctuate, and life will always present new challenges. If you keep waiting for the perfect moment, you may end up waiting for years while your dream remains only on paper. Every completed house you admire today started with a decision—not a perfect bank account. It started with someone saying, "I am ready to begin." Whether it was buying a plot of land, molding the first blocks, or casting the foundation, every great building began with one courageous step. Your future home is built one decision at a time. As a construction professional, I have met many people who delayed building because they thought they needed to have everything figured out. Unfortunately, some later returned to discover that the cost of building had doubled. The lesson is simple: progress is better than procrastination. Start where you are, with what you have, and keep moving forward. A solid foundation today is better than endless planning tomorrow. Don't let fear or excuses keep you from becoming a landlord. Your family deserves a place they can proudly call home, and your future self will thank you for taking action today. If you're ready to begin your building journey and need professional guidance from design to completion, YusufA's is here to help you every step of the way. What is the biggest thing stopping you from building? Share it in the comments—I'd love to hear from you. © YusufA's

I am now finding Enugu airline as not a reliable carrier. And it is dangerous. This is the second Enugu Air incident in eight months. November 2025, one of their jets suffered a nose gear fault landing in Enugu. Today, a different aircraft from the same fleet fails to stop on the runway in Benin all this less than a year apart. This is a pattern. And patterns in aviation are a maintenance story before they are ever a weather story. Enugu Air is owned by the Enugu State government and that detail matters to everyone. A private airline that keeps crash landing planes loses customers and dies fast. A state owned carrier gets a press statement and a budget top up instead. The incentive to actually fix the problem is weaker when politics is footing the bill. So here is what I want on record before this gets buried under the relief that nobody died. Who signed off on 5N-ENR’s airworthiness before this flight. Did the November nose gear fault trigger a fleet wide inspection or did it get filed and forgotten. Is Enugu Air expanding routes faster than it is expanding its safety budget. 68 people walked off a plane today that should never have needed an emergency evacuation. That is the story and nobody should paint it as a miracle that they survived it.
