What's even better than that first sip of morning coffee? Seeing your first solo-authored pub in print at @JPR_journal! For a breakdown of my article on nonviolent resistance and long-term state repression, check out my blog post published by @CivilWarPaths.

@saintsoftness Could try finding an Airbnb on north side of Boulder, CO. Won’t be as dramatic as GCanyon, etc, but you will be walking distance from picturesque foothills and trails. There is public transport from DEN to Boulder, and decent transport/Uber in Boulder.

Hey American friends-- have you been to one of the national parks out west in the middle of winter? Any tips for doing this without a car at all/ no hardcore camping just staying in a nice lodge with a shower? I want icy bison and rocks but also a shower.

It was an absolute delight to be back in the old hood! Thanks for invite @JoakimKreutz ! And I’m leaving with a good omen - a very dramatic sunset shot of the cathedral.

@Sally_Sharif1 But if light isn’t ‘inflated’ (or even if it is) wouldn’t you be more interested in consumption-driven development in most cases? Genuinely very curious.

@Sally_Sharif1 Oh man. Maybe? Not really an IPE guy. I could see the opposite, though. Maybe extraction sites (like oil infra in S. Dakota) are well-lit and ‘inflate’ local light.

Recent research suggests that night-time lights can be reliably used as a proxy for economic development in developing countries. But it’s not reliable for capturing changes in sub-national patterns of development, especially in rural areas. Exhibit A: North Dakota
