I remember Van Dijk doing something similar for Liverpool years ago with I think Wanyama when he could’ve passed to Kane/Son and he got so many plaudits for it. This is on par from Stones to me. Just slows play up enough we can get bodies back behind the ball. Outstanding

There’s an argument to be had that in Dubravka, Esteve, Tuanzebe, Hartman, Ugochukwu, Anthony and Tchaouna we’ve already lost 7 of the strongest starting XI we had available to us. Add in Flemming’s pending departure and that makes 8. That’s absolutely incredible #twitterclarets

Crazy having to explain this. If a player who’s just been relegated wants to play Premier League/Champs League football then he will go. It’s nothing to do with Pace cashing in. The players don’t support us, it’s a short career. Get over it, we will replace them #twitterclarets
