Yesterday I went with my husband to his company dinner. It was one of those events where everyone is dressed nicely, making small talk, laughing a little too loudly at jokes that aren’t that funny. At some point one of his colleagues looked at him, glanced at me, and said with a smile,
“Man, you’re lucky she lets you go out dressed like that.” A few people at the table chuckled. I felt that familiar moment where you’re not sure if you’re supposed to laugh along or just let it pass. I was about to force a polite smile when my husband leaned back in his chair and said, very calmly, “I’m lucky she chose me. Let’s not get it twisted.” It wasn’t said aggressively.
It wasn’t defensive.
Just simple and clear. And suddenly the whole tone of the table shifted. No one laughed after that. The conversation moved on, but something about the moment stayed with me. He didn’t turn me into the punchline to keep the room comfortable.
He didn’t laugh it off just to fit in. He made it clear that I wasn’t some accessory he brought to a work dinner. I was his partner. And in that moment I realized something about marriage. A good marriage isn’t just about loving someone in private.
It’s about how you represent them when the room is watching.

Dating/Marriage tip I’ve learned from observation: Find someone who’s so good for your nervous system, that you can allocate your cortisol for other things - such as pursuing career milestones, financial goals, child rearing/ newborn trenches - instead of fighting for the relationship’s survival. That’s all for my very short TED talk.

I once dated a guy who canceled our planned date because he needed to run errands for his older sister abroad. Another canceled an outing because he had to take his parents for a photo capture appointment. And what was my reaction to all that? I understood them, and we simply rescheduled. I run errands for my own mum too, so I know how important family responsibilities can be. Their situations were urgent, and I didn’t take it personally. In fact, I appreciate men who prioritize their families. It takes a well-raised, responsible person to do that, and I see it as a positive trait not an inconvenience. Does that mean I judge anyone who might feel differently? Not at all. Everyone has their own preferences and boundaries. Mine just happen to include giving grace when family comes first.

Am I the only that gets turned off by guys that are not independent? Like those ones that are still running random errands at home like they're teenagers. What do you mean you had to drive your sister to the market or take your mom to an event. Learn to set boundaries or avoid me

The Hong Thai Brand Herbal Inhaler Formula 2 has been found to fail safety standards due to microbial contamination, according to an announcement published by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Laboratory tests conducted by the Department of Medical Sciences revealed that the product exceeded acceptable limits for Total Aerobic Microbial Count, Total Combined Yeasts and Mould Count, and Clostridium spp. contamination. The tests were carried out on samples collected from the production site of Hong Thai Commercial Herbal Products. The FDA stated that the product, registered under number G 309/62, does not comply with the Ministry of Public Health’s 2021 purity and quality standards for registered herbal products. The affected batch is number 000332, with a manufacturing date of December 9, 2024, and an expiry date of December 8, 2027. The agency has warned consumers to avoid purchasing or using the product, noting that it is considered substandard under Section 60 (2) of the Herbal Product Act B.E. 2562 (2019). Those found manufacturing such products face up to two years in prison and a fine of up to 200,000 baht, while those selling them face up to six months in prison and a fine of up to 50,000 baht. The FDA said legal proceedings against the manufacturer are under consideration. The announcement was issued on October 20, 2025. #Thailand #ยาดมหงส์ไทย

I think we under-estimate how many people are miserable because they have no enthusiasms, no hobbies, because they gave up reading and quit learning when school ended. It's shocking how much studying a beloved subject elevates your mood. It will transform your life.

Praying for all our kababayans in Davao. Nakaranas ang Pilipinas ng sunod-sunod na BAGYO, BAHA… LINDOL SA CEBU… BAGYO ULIT… ngayon, LINDOL SA DAVAO… And sources tell us nakapag-F1 pa sa Singapore ang ilang pulitiko nung nakaraang linggo? Congressmen? Seriously? Lord, please give us politicians who genuinely feel and care for our people. Yung may malasakit. Hindi bingi at bulag.

People don't die from earthquakes. People die from collapsed buildings. Buildings collapse due to shortcuts around building code standards. Shortcuts done by the construction industry with permission from bureaucrats.

street vendors are shouting to lower the prices of what they sell. i’m crying 😭 life is so hard for people, every day is a struggle. please, let them voice out what they want to say because they are truly affected. enough of these excessive price hikes that make life unbearable for ordinary people. stop ignoring the struggles of the people. let them speak, let them fight for their rights. enough is enough!

it’s sad how some people don’t take kuya’s stance seriously. hindi “fishball lang” yung hinaing niya! it speaks volume about how foods that are supposed to be really affordable are now hurting his pocket. hindi tumataas ang sweldo pero yung presyo ng bilihin patuloy ang pag-taas
