Important Announcement Bigcoin has no affiliation with Bigtoshi. Any future announcements, launches, or official updates regarding Bigcoin will only be shared through this account. When we took over development of Bigcoin, we inherited a project that had seen significant success but was struggling to remain sustainable. While we assumed responsibility for building the project, we did not take over the original Bigtoshi X account. From the beginning, we believed the long-term solution was to transform Bigcoin into something much more sustainable through Merge Mining, a unique technology designed to evolve Bigcoin into a token launchpad. Merge Mining would introduce several major improvements, including: • Sniper-protected token launches • The ability for miners to switch between mining different tokens • A launch platform featuring vetted partners to help provide greater confidence for holders To support that vision, we: • Converted cosmetic items and miners into NFTs, allowing holders to realize value without selling their BIG tokens. • Launched multiple collaboration seasons featuring exclusive cosmetic NFTs to keep the community engaged while development continued. • Invested heavily in building Merge Mining, which required substantial smart contract development and multiple audits by one of the industry's most respected security firms. Merge Mining was successfully completed on October 21, 2025. Unfortunately, by the time development was finished, market conditions on the chain had deteriorated significantly. We even offered a $10,000 referral bounty to anyone who could introduce quality teams interested in launching on the platform. We met with numerous builders and explored several launch concepts, but the market continued to weaken, making it difficult to execute the vision we had planned. Today, we're continuing to evaluate the best path forward. We still believe the Merge Mining technology and launchpad model represent the strongest long-term direction for the project, and we're actively exploring how to bring that vision to life. We wanted to make this statement simply so our community understands that any launches or announcements made outside of this account are not affiliated with Bigcoin, and so no one is misled into believing otherwise.
