@glare_goat_tall @samw1t Don’t disagree with this but it is just the case at the moment. I would get rid of var altogether personally

@Chrissyk64 @samw1t But the ref only doesn’t make a decision because VAR is there Sticking with on field decisions that are different than they would have been because of the “safety net”, is a flawed system (to say the least)

@IAmYourIntifada @L14MOT @samw1t Still completely missing the point. Doesn’t matter what madders says, no one is saying it definitely wasn’t a penalty, but why var stuck with the ref’s decision because it’s not conclusive enough either way. We need to stop with the conspiracies and look at ourselves

@L14MOT @Chrissyk64 @samw1t If you like, I can pretend you know better than the player who actually touched the ball 👍. Also, please show me where in the rule book it says that a touch means it's not a foul.

If Tottenham don’t get relegated, is it mass celebration or do we just act like this season never happened and swiftly move on?

Listening to that away support last night, it’s hard to believe that Thomas Frank allowed a narrative to form, and then grow, about how so much of the negativity around the club stemmed from a disconnect from the supporters. It could have, and could still, cost us everything.

@PaulBrandITV @IainDale Still doesn’t explain why they were repeatedly kicking him in the head…brave though they were of course, absolutely they were. Without them goodness knows that would have happened. But it doesn’t give them free rein to do whatever they want.

Wow, in a very unusual step the Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has sent a blistering letter to Green Party leader Zack Polanski saying he shouldn’t be retweeting “armchair critics” who criticised officers for kicking the Golders Green attacker in the head.
Metropolitan Police@metpoliceuk

“Apprehending violent and dangerous criminals is a full contact and messy task which may appear shocking to observers with little experience of policing in the real world.” Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley writes to Zack Polanski.

Football reporters should never ever, ever, ever use the word ‘disaster’ in relation to giving a goal away. We’ve just marked the Hillsborough tragedy. Check your language. Do much better.

@GeorgeSessions Personally can’t stand it when players come off and stand on the sidelines dishing out instructions still in their shirt. You’ve had all season sit down and shut up

It will get lost amid the full-time despair but there was real togetherness in that Tottenham team & squad today. I've not seen that for a long time. Richarlison, Maddison, Vicario & Davies all rallying team. Bentancur and Bissouma giving instructions on bench. An important shift

This is good, it obviously doesn’t change what he said, but it’s good the club have done this and we can move forward now

🚨🗣️ Roberto De Zerbi addressing concerns from #Tottenham fans with comments made at Marseille: "I have never wanted to downplay the issue of violence against women, or violence against anyone more broadly. In my life I have always stood up for those who are more vulnerable, more fragile. I've consistently fought and taken a stand to be on the side of those who are most at risk. Those of you who know me well, will know I'm not the type of person who makes compromises to win more games or to win an extra title. I'm sorry if this offended anyone's feelings with this subject matter - I have a daughter and I'm very sensitive to these things, and I always have been. I hope that over time people will get to know me better and will understand that at that moment I didn't mean to take a stance.
