There are a lot of Burning Man headlines, many way overblown, some accurate. The burn has been epic -- yes more extreme than the usual extremes (it's always inclement, intense, etc) -- but don't believe most of the dramatic headlines. It is a muddy mess, but that's after we had a week of epic skies and amazing weather and beautiful burner mayhem in the best way. It became harder and even more complex with the rain and mud. These conditions certainly stressed and stretched the community. Especially for those with an injury or medical needs, it's particularly challenging and way sub optimal. But... it's a choice to go out in that inhospitable environment, and most are making the best of it. There have been serious situations, but most are ok and many having a blast -- burners are taking care of each other. 💚

One thing I’ve never understood about sports social media: I assume only fans follow team accounts. As a fan, I really only want real-time highlights and commentary. Why doesn’t each team effectively have its own host(s) that regularly produce shortform team content? Player/coach interviews, post-game analysis, fantasy football implications, etc. Have teams tried this and it flops or something? What am I missing?

@NickCho like good god— the amount of planning it would take to inbox each presenter audio files with correct pronunciation of nominee’s names is MINIMAL.

It’s such a part of the Asian American experience to watch an awards show live and hear everyone’s name pronounced perfectly except for a few of the Asian people’s names and feeling a wave of humiliation. #SAGAwards
