I can’t believe the day has come where I QT MTG, yet here we are…
Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸@FmrRepMTG

On Easter morning, this is what President Trump posted. Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness. I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit. I’m not defending Iran but let’s be honest about all of this. The Strait is closed because the US and Israel started the unprovoked war against Iran based on the same nuclear lies they’ve been telling for decades, that any moment Iran would develop a nuclear weapon. You know who has nuclear weapons? Israel. They are more than capable of defending themselves without the US having to fight their wars, kill innocent people and children, and pay for it. Trump threatening to bomb power plants and bridges hurts the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed he was freeing. On Easter, of all days, we as Christians should be reminded that the son of God died and rose from the grave so that we can be forgiven once and for all of our sins. Jesus commanded us to love one another and forgive one another. Even our enemies. Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians. Christians in the administration should be pursuing peace. Urging the President to make peace. Not escalating war that is hurting people. This NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most. This is not making America great again, this is evil.

We are the wealthiest nation IN THE WORLD. If we cannot care for our own citizens, then the government needs to be literally dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up. We are human beings. We have supported this economy through our labor, commitment and tax dollars. And our collective financial contribution to this nation has been used for everything BUT improving our lives. Men and women have died in WAR to defend this country. I’ll be DAMNED if even one citizen dies because they can’t afford insulin. Fuck the oligarchy and fuck Donald Trump. WE are the people. Not those PABs sitting on their golden thrones. WE. ARE. THE. PEOPLE.

@mehdirhasan Thank you! I loathe Bill Maher. He is all the things you said at the top of the video and idk why anyone likes him or watches his show. He's a huge bigot and one of the best examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect on planet Earth.

I’m frustrated this morning. I’m hurt. Last night I made a post about @jamestalarico and how the way he speaks, the way he explains things, and the way he talks about love and people has stirred something in me. Something real. Something I have not felt in a long time. It made me feel like my heart was moving a little closer toward God. Then the comments came. This morning I woke up to even more. If you could see some of the direct messages I’ve received… It’s sad. Truly sad. People calling me a communist. People telling me I’m wrong. People acting like my step toward faith only counts if it fits inside their beliefs, their politics, and their box. It’s not non believers doing this. It’s religious people. I have not seen a single message telling me to stay away from God. What I have seen are people telling me how I have to come to God if I want to be accepted. I was just being honest about what I was feeling. I said I felt like I had moved a little closer. Closer… Somehow even that did not feel acceptable. Instead of encouragement, I feel judged. Instead of grace, I feel corrected. Instead of being pulled closer, I feel pushed back. If someone says they feel a little closer to God, why would that not be met with kindness? Jesus is not a Democrat. Jesus is not a Republican. What keeps speaking to my heart is simple. ➡️ Love thy neighbor ⬅️ Some of you think you are defending faith. But what it feels like on this side is that you are pushing someone away who was taking a small step closer… That is where I am this morning. Frustrated.

@SirSmores @TrooperBenKs @jamestalarico I guess I'll look to the words of Jesus instead of the words of Huevery Johnson to determine whether what he's saying is unbiblical or heretical. Thanks anyway.

@TrooperBenKs @jamestalarico TBH as excited as I am for him to be a Senator, I'm equally excited about the effect you described. I believe a lot of people have had experiences like yours and I believe he is starting a much-needed revival of Christianity and JESUS-FOLLOWING to counter Christian Nationalism.

@TrooperBenKs @jamestalarico They're brainwashed & don't have the capacity to react to James's love and true Christianity with anything but defensiveness. He's a huge threat to their worldview and their weak attempts to claim Christianity for themselves don't hold up. I think you're doing great. Love IS it!

@kchuvala @TeamTalaricoHQ @jamestalarico He's not the hater. That's why republicans are so scared. Talarico's love and true faith expose their hate and the false religion they use to exploit and manipulate people like you.

...Therefore, you can't love God and hate Trump. You can't love God and hate MAGA. You can't love God and violate the 8th Commandment constantly. You can't love God and support the slaughter of his children. You can't love God and blatantly reject His Word. Repent and believe the Gospel. Seriously!

.@JamesTalarico: The kind of religion that says you can treat people however you want as long as you have a personal relationship with Jesus is an abomination. Scripture says you can't love God and hate other people. You can't love God and abuse the immigrant. You can't love God and bully the outcast. You can't love God and oppress the poor. We spend so much time looking for God out there, that we miss God in the person sitting right next to us.

@lifetosuccess @TeamTalaricoHQ @jamestalarico The government Paul's talking about in Romans 13 is the government that killed Jesus (and eventually Paul too). Do you call that order and justice? What Paul is saying here is that Christians are not to try to change the world through violent insurrection (ahem), but through love

There’s truth in what’s being said, a genuine relationship with Christ will absolutely shape how we treat others. 1 John 4:20 (NASB) “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.” And: James 1:27 (NASB) “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” So yes, followers of Christ are called to love, serve, and show compassion. But Scripture does not isolate certain sins as if they are the only concern. God’s standard is comprehensive. Romans 3:23 (NASB) “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” And: 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 (NASB) “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor habitual drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.” So the issue is not choosing which sins to emphasize, it’s calling all people to repentance and transformation. At the same time, Scripture also distinguishes between the role of the Church and the role of government. The Church is called to love, serve, and proclaim truth: Matthew 22:37–39 (NASB) “And He said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’” Government, however, is tasked with maintaining order and justice: Romans 13:1 (NASB) “Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.” And: Romans 13:4 (NASB) “for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not carry the sword for nothing…” So we must not confuse the two: •The Church calls people to repentance, grace, and truth •Government enforces justice and order Christians are called to do both rightly: •Love people genuinely •Refuse to excuse sin •Submit to rightful authority •And point all people, not to politics, but to Christ Because the goal is not to win arguments… It is to see lives changed by the truth and grace of God.
