Recruited a Graphic Designer for a company, his resume impressive, his portfolio impressive but his attitude towards work was the worst. His contract was terminated today and guess who’s been blowing up my phone 🫠, asking if I can do anything to help? They always had to beg him to send designs, to fix corrections, every single time. He complained about his laptop, the company got him a new one, complained about some other things that the employer fixed, after everything, they still had to beg? For what exactly? I’ve had conversations with this candidate over and over, but today the employer couldn’t take his anymore. Let’s do better. Talent may open the door and a strong CV or portfolio may get you hired, but it’s your attitude that sustains your career because skills may get you in the room, yet your work ethic and accountability determine how long you stay and how far you go.
