Yesterday, I was honoured to join the British H.C to Ghana H.E. Dr. Christian Rogg and distinguished media executives for a CEOs Roundtable Dinner. An insightful exchange on strengthening Ghana’s media ecosystem, championing sustainability, and building trust.

One of Ghana’s strengths: its vibrant media landscape Talking with media CEOs was a reminder that the industry’s strength depends on having courage, showing leadership and creating pathways for passion and ideas to become stories That’s why the UK now co-chairs @MediaFreedomC

Thank you @ibrahim_mahama for hosting me at Red Clay Studio in #Tamale Lots to reflect on - especially the need to preserve our history and bring it to life. And that includes the shared history of Ghana and UK So that we remember the stories of the past and to inspire new ones

The whole world in a lecture hall! Great to join Northern Youth Parliament at @UDSGhana. This year, they didn’t simulate Ghana’s Parliament, but the Commonwealth with its 56 members Clearly, the next generation is not only ready for national governance but global cooperation

Yesterday I was warmly hosted by The Rt Hon Yvette Cooper (MP), Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom. Our exceptionally fruitful and substantive engagement focused on enhancing our historical and inseparable Ghana-UK relations. We agreed on innovative pathways to increase trade which is already up by 10%, creating new markets for Ghanaian and UK businesses and how we can incubate more opportunities for young entrepreneurs. We also discussed security cooperation and counterterrorism initiatives. Ghana and the UK will hold a grand investment summit in May this year under the distinguished patronage of President Mahama to sustain the great gains in our revitalized relations. Ghana and the UK are determined to solidify our strategic alliance. 🇬🇭 🇬🇧

Regional security is a key element of the 🇬🇧-🇬🇭 partnership Good to discuss with Northern Regional Minister and Regional Security Council the key risks they’re facing - violent extremism, drug trade, border security - and how we can work together to address them #UKBeyondAccra

Thanks to @S_OkudzetoAblak and @GhanaMFA for the excellent exchange yesterday. Our teams may be reluctant for us to meet again given how many action points we create ;) - this time around migration, UN resolutions and global crises Safe travels for your trip to the 🇬🇧 next week

Great to join Ghana’s health leaders to celebrate the UK‑funded #FlemingFund’s impact. In 7 years, the partnership strengthened 17 AMR surveillance sites, upgraded 11 labs, trained nearly 1,000 experts, and generated data now improving patient care. But AMR is rising- over 23,000 deaths in 2021, with children under five most affected. As support winds down in 2026, strong domestic investment is essential to sustain labs, reagents, skilled staff and One Health coordination. The UK stands ready to keep partnering with Ghana for a healthier, more resilient future. 🇬🇭🤝🇬🇧
