For me writing stories is a way to reach ppl that feel they don't fit in anywhere, while creating the magic of bringing everyone together, if I was a bestselling author I wouldn't use my voice to be divisive of any community

#writersoftwitter am looking to start my editing service. I'm just asking if there's any writers interested in free feedback on their synopsis/opening chapters to help get me started? I'm a qualified proofreader, experienced submission and novel prize reader.

Could it be because every children's book that is publicised is written by a rich celebrity and parents dont want to add to their wealth, and dont hear of any other childrens books and authors

America! I told my daughters last night I didn't think they'd elect Trump, but they wouldn't elect a woman. The world is watching this & I don't know anyone who understands what is going on with this once beautiful country #PresidentialElection2024

We'd already been looking at HE for months, but I don't understand a system where a child's views & needs don't count, a parents views dont count and no one is there to advocate for either in such a difficult process, things have to improve for #SEND families

@thetimes Wouldn't it be lovely to have some books from debut writers, who have had to go the long way round to get their books out in the world

The first week back to school isn't always exciting, it can be terrifying for kids with LD or ND. Day one yesterday and I'm already exhausted by the emails and fight to get my kids needs met, if you're going thru the same I'm with you #sen #NotFineInSchool

@draevans This is exactly my own thought process, and I have autism myself so the anxiety I suffer abt everything with this
English

Being an “autism” carer is stressful. It is never ending
My stress has 4 sources:
DWP & their inherent hostility
My LA & their inconsistency
My work - my dread of not doing enough to keep the job
End of days - when my time ends
Do you understand?

@authoranima I have just read two well publicised thrillers that I found boring, the plots a bit vague and didn't like any of the characters, so not just you on this
English

@draevans The crisis is serious, but this is putting incorrect and damaging information out there and we wonder why its do difficult for nd children, or adults to function in a non nd world around ppl who cant/won't adapt/understand what its like for us
English

@HollieAnneB I started the autism diagnosis process months ago, assessments last month, results yesterday and I'm so glad I've done it, hope you get what you need from yours
English

@gracikim It teaches hope, how to deal with difficulties and reminds us to be playful which life and adulthood can strip from us
English

I will actually put my thoughts together at some point but for now I just want to say: adults should read middle grade books because it reminds us to have HOPE. Hope for our world, for our friends and family and relationships, and for the potential of our ourselves 💗
Graci Kim@gracikim
One day I will jump on my soapbox to talk about how important it is for adults to read middle grade books…… #BookTwitter
