@archeohistories It’s not the rest of the world’s responsibility to take care of the children around the world. Children here were orphaned and neglected during both wars. No one ever cared about American children suffering during the civil war or Great Depression.
@Christine1O ive read a few of his books for myself n i would tend to agree with alot of his evaluations but really its upto the individual to decide i guess on whether they agree with Charles Vallancey or not,i dont get put off by negative opinions,i just have a read n then decide 🙂

Tonight, the weather was very warm, and as a result, we saw a noticeable increase in tent packs and sleeping bags on the streets. Many rough sleepers prefer to stay outdoors due to safety concerns in some hostels.
It has been heartbreaking to see a very apparent increase in gender-based violence. Many highly vulnerable women have been forced out of their homes for various reasons, ending up on the streets. It is absolutely devastating to clearly see bruises and marks on these women as they come to our tables.
On the positive side, we had a huge amount of food tonight. We prepared extra and ended up serving 450 meals across six long tables. Each table was laid out with chocolate to share with the boys and girls who come down, as those on the streets always look forward to this small treat.
Looking back to when we started 11 years ago with just one table, we couldn't have imagined that we would still be needed today, let alone that we would need so many tables. That being said, we are extremely grateful to you, your support and your donations, which help us show up in the community and be present for the homeless.
We remain deeply passionate about this cause and serving the less fortunate in Irish society. Until the day comes when we can finally fold the tables away for good, we must look for the silver lining. We hope and pray that one day, there will be no need for any soup run.
In the meantime, let us continue to show up, help, and serve the people in dire need. Please donate: msoe.ie/index.php/comp…
@Oh_Behave_John To hate is to give others the power over you. But that does not mean sit ideally by if injustice is at your door. I’ve experienced the danger of this kind of rhetoric. I’ve seen the path it can lead us down.
