@MartinSLewis Gave a quid to my daughter - a bit short to top up her Oyster - and she passed it to the homeless bloke she always chatted to, near Piccadilly who was only a quid short for the hostel for the night.
TELL US: What’s the best quid (or less) you’ve spent in the last twenty years and why?
Please post your answers by reply and podcast producer Simon will select some to be read out. And do like your faves...
We've travelled to Liverpool to see our beautiful daughter who is studying there. She took us to Formby beach this afternoon and the weather was perfect!
It dawned on me while recording tonight’s @itvMLshow that it’s 25 years since I first came up with, and filmed, my cake and clingfilm analogy for ISAs, which I used again tonight.
I remember it vividly. It was the start of my career. I was excited to be filming in a cake shop in Soho, wearing a leather blazer, for the small OnDigital TV channel I worked for.
I can’t quite believe where the years have gone. Though when I look at this picture, the nearest to that date I can find (prob a couple of years later). I realise just how much things, and I, have changed.
I had some good news today. Yesterday I had a DEXA scan at the Royal London to check on my osteoporosis, which was diagnosed 3 years ago. The scan showed that it has disappeared from my spine, and more or less entirely from my hip. This is thanks to an annual infusion of Alendronate and doing weights at the gym. Huge thanks to my consultant, Ali Jawad, at the Mile End Hospital for taking me on this journey.
I had three hospital appointments today.
Hardest part? Trying to find a space to park.
I spent 45 minutes driving round the hospital.
No spaces.
Eventually parked two miles away and walked in.
Parking is often the most stressful part of attending hospital.
@MartinSLewis@mmhpi Brilliant idea and I don't understand why it's not in place. The 'tell is once' works well for bereavement and takes the stress off, for which I'm very thankful.
Why do people with mental (or physical) health vulnerabilities need call essential firm after firm and govt departments too to declare it, needing repeat the same painful, possibly embarrassing explanations. Today @MMHPI is calling for a 'tell us once' system. Here's my quote on why.....
"The government has a Tell Us Once system for when someone dies, yet we lack the same for those who are alive and struggling. That makes no sense. We need a single simple system that can work across essential services like banks, energy and water firms, and government systems too – whichever people choose.
“Right now, a vulnerable person in the middle of a mental (or physical) health crisis may have to call firm after firm, and government agencies on top, repeating the same painful, possibly embarrassing or triggering explanation again and again. In a digital age where data sharing is simple, that feels almost cruel.
“Of course safeguards and informed consent are essential, people must have control of their data. But it is time we stopped focusing on using data to just drive profit and started using it to drive compassion.”

@jennyeclair@38degrees Impressive statues. We saw them putting this together on the Southbank. The guy said they are 3D printed and painted! Realistic bronze!
I'm buying a church.
I’ve made a cash offer of £225,000 to purchase this church, which was about to close and be sold off to developers.
I'm fed up with driving past all these churches in the UK that used to thrive, support the community, and feed the homeless.
Now, just look at these beautiful church buildings.
So many are boarded up, closed down, with developers queueing up to profit from converting them into flats.
I simply can't accept that a building built to glorify Jesus for generations can be turned into something solely for profit.
So I've placed an offer on a church in my hometown.
My plan is to buy it and offer it completely free of charge, with zero rent, to a church willing to worship Jesus here and serve others.
What do you think of this idea?
@MartinSLewis@itvMLshow mum recently went into a care home. The property sold.
The POA was done back in 2017, however the buyers solicitors are saying they are now done differently with how it is stamped etc.
It is an original, it is stamped and certified. Should they still be able to accept it?
Today's Poll in conjunction with @itvMLshow at 7:15pm on ITV. Do you have an up to date (lasting or enduring) Power of Attorney in place and a Will?
And do explain why with #MartinLewis
Using a radiologically inserted gastrostomy tube is not for the faint-hearted. This is the real Hunger Games: learning to adapt without surrendering hope.

Waiting on platforms in the open air (as opposed to on the Underground) is totally bearable as I’m wearing tights under my jeans. The tights are striped. I think the stripes help.

@HeroDividend I would start working to rule. Not logging in early, not working through lunch and never staying late. Rejecting all meetings during the lunch hour.
Also today went to achingly trendy Asian bagel den by Tate modern - black bagel with hazelnut cream cheese and garlic and spring onion cream cheese ( not together) sadly, my 70s taste buds craved a slice quiche with some coleslaw- these v cool places are wasted on me
