☔ Currently waiting out Japan’s rainy season (梅雨) at LOST Bar in Shibuya, where the drinks are strong and the umbrellas don’t work. June in Tokyo feels like the city’s gone into stealth mode. No crowds, no queues and no loud streamers riding around on GoKarts. Just the occasional heavy downpour, while you duck under a creaking wooden shrine. Most tourists avoid Japan in June, and I get it. It’s wet, humid, and your socks never quite dry. But honestly, it’s kind of brilliant. The temples look moodier, the neon reflections are cinematic, and you can actually hear yourself think. So don’t write it off. If you can handle a bit of rain and mild trench foot, Tokyo in June is criminally underrated. Who's coming in July and August? I'll have the sake ready 🇯🇵🍶
