Our 2009 fan film lurks here for Tolkien bookworms and indie filmmakers. A true labour of love, we had a blast visualising a few moments in Middle-earth. Extremely excited now to hear about the new official Hunt for Gollum film that will be made! youtu.be/9H09xnhlCQU

@MGMarano Ah - if they hadn’t already got one of the most appropriate directors imaginable, (Gollum himself!) I’d say ‘why not’. 🤣 You’re a kind fellow, thanks for watching.

And our film is back already! We’ve had an interesting day to say the least. Grateful to WB for being so gracious. & love also to all the Tolkien fans who remembered us. We’re very excited though that @andyserkis himself will be telling this new story. youtu.be/9H09xnhlCQU?si…

@DiscussingFilm We're the makers of this fan film and are feeling a bit sad to see it taken down. Hopeful this was a knee jerk reaction though, and it might be allowed to keep roaming the net in future... A labour of love project by fans for fans that it was :)

Warner Bros has issued a copyright strike to a fan film from 2009 titled ‘THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM’ less than a day after announcing their own film with the same title. The fan film had over 13M views before being taken down.

@AndyBobMckee Thanks for sharing. Totally agree this is the only and best way to cut drama, esp when shooting lots of takes, including improv/off script!

When you're hired to write a feature, you usually get 12 weeks contractually to turn around the actual draft. Here's my typical timeline of working on a project from start to finish which, as you'll see, can be somewhat atypical!
kevin sheridan@SheridanKevin

Question — how long do you typically spend on a feature? Mostly I’ve been doing true stories so that entails 3-4 months of research / outlining. And then a couple months on the first draft. Another month on the second. But there’s draft after draft that comes after that…
