Why doesn't CinemaCon show its footage and panels as a livestream? Because it's a convention primarily for film exhibitors (managers and owners and staff of AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Alamo, Odeon, and other international chains and indie theaters), ie, the front line where these films will be exhibited. It's not a fan event. Press are invited to cover news, but there are reasonable restrictions in place to keep everything shown as marketing specifically for distributors and press covering this industry. Studios cut their footage differently knowing it's for a smaller live audience than they cut trailers meant to be on YouTube. That's what makes CinemaCon different from other events.

Cinemacon isn’t for fans, it’s legit an event that studios do to convince theater owners and execs why they should put their film in theaters. It’s strictly for theater owners
