People have been trying to snub me for not supporting Connie Johnson for Governor. Most of the state of Oklahoma doesn't even know she is running because she isn't out networking or hustling attending many events- she even spoke at a cannabis rally last month and said she wasn't campaigning.... amungst saying other embarrassing things (to herself) other than my personal bad relationship with her that I would never support her-Politics shouldn’t be about who shows up to the most rallies or who says the things people want to hear — it should be about RESULTS. Connie Johnson served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2005–2014. During that time, she introduced multiple cannabis reform bills, criminal justice reform bills, and other progressive policies… but the overwhelming majority FAILED to pass. Her biggest accomplishments in office: ✔️ SB 464 (REAL ID opposition) ✔️ 2 ceremonial resolutions Meanwhile, every major cannabis bill she pushed during her 10 years in office failed to become law. Medical marijuana didn’t pass in Oklahoma until 2018 — four years after she left office — because the PEOPLE voted for SQ 788 NOT because HER efforts. Advocacy and activism matter, but leadership is about being able to build coalitions, move legislation, and actually get things DONE. Oklahoma doesn’t just need people who talk about change. We need leaders who can deliver it!
