Let me correct your framing. The meddling did not start with China and Russia. The meddling started with European colonial powers carving up Africa with rulers and pencils. The meddling continued with the US overthrowing governments in Iran, Guatemala, Chile, and dozens more. The meddling never stopped with NATO expanding into every country that would accept a base, a treaty, or a missile. What you call meddling, the rest of the world calls balance. When the West has all the weapons, all the bases, all the sanctions, and all the media, any nation that offers an alternative is labeled a troublemaker. Syria was lost to chaos because of Western backed proxy wars and regime change attempts long before Russia or China got involved. Most of Africa is not lost. Africa is choosing partners who do not come with lectures and conditions. Yemen is burning because of a Saudi led coalition armed by the US and UK. Iran is isolated? By whom. The US turned most of the world against Iran through sanctions and threats. That is not natural isolation. That is engineered isolation. And the Global South does not want Iran to erode Western power. The Global South wants options. It wants to trade with whoever offers the best deal without being punished. That is not conspiracy. That is sovereignty. You just do not like that it no longer belongs exclusively to the West.
