You’ve never seen a projectile fragment? In 1996, Rapid City, SD. I investigated a shooting death where the victim accidentally shot himself in the face with a .357 Revolver. Hole on side of nose. No exits. He lived through the night. I did the GSR on his hands in the hospital. Attended his autopsy the next day. Projectile ricocheted around in fragments turning half his brain to jelly. Projectiles do strange things when they enter a body.
