MBC LAWSUIT UPDATE 🚨 Yesterday, the Virginia Court of Appeals heard oral arguments from MBC members regarding the circuit court’s ruling to dismiss their breach of contract lawsuit (the lawsuit citing that in the July 18, 2021 elder election, dissenting church members were illegally withheld from voting by MBC leadership to solidify a favorable outcome). The plaintiffs state circuit court’s errors based on the following arguments- - The Circuit Court erred in finding the First Amendment to be a jurisdictional bar to discovery. A First Amendment discovery objection is an assertion of a “qualified privilege,” subject to a balancing test. - The Supreme Court Has Held That the First Amendment is a Qualified Privilege, Not a Bar to Discovery. - Grandbouche v. Clancy Case Lays Out the Applicable Factors in a First Amendment Discovery Privilege Balancing Test. - The Circuit Court erred in bypassing the balancing test, and in so doing, in effect finding that Appellee prevailed in the balancing test. In fact, if the balancing test is correctly applied, Appellants should prevail, and discovery should be ordered. - The Circuit Court erred in failing to consider controlling federal and Virginia Supreme Court precedent that members of congregational churches can appeal to the courts for protection of basic civil rights. - Courts Can Examine the Governing Documents of Congregational Churches Under “Neutral Principles of Law,” to Determine if the Church Has Actually Acted. - Virginia’s Supreme Court Clarified That Courts Have Jurisdiction Where Congregational Church Members Seek Only to Vindicate “Simple and Fundamental Principles of Democratic Government.” - Other Courts Recognize That the First Amendment is a Qualified Privilege, Not a Bar. - Even if 2021’s Election Cannot be Redone, The Case is Not Moot as Appellants are Still Entitled to the Vote of Confidence Required by MBC’s Constitution Since the Election Was Held Illegally. Plaintiff’s 51 pg. filing can be found here- drive.google.com/file/d/1mZ-oj6…

@Curtis_Loew He hasn’t attended a single hearing in any of the lawsuits. Only one representative from their leadership team has & he resigned months later (moved out of state).

@Church_R_I Will soyboy Platt leave his mansion to attend or will he run and hide from the elderly people trying to stop his liberal ideas from destroying their church like he did on that documentary?

"Church autonomy, however, is a doctrine of limited scope, encompassing distinct and carefully bounded protections...Nor does it confer a general immunity from secular law." This is the key point from an important amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court today.

This is absolutely expected. The facts in many of these cases are truly shocking, and juries were never going to be swayed by extreme and bespoke ideological justifications for drastic and permanently life-altering medical procedures.

BREAKING: 1st Detransitioner to Take a Medical-Malpractice Lawsuit to Trial Wins $2 Million Judgement Fox Varian sued her Westchester, NY, area psychologist and plastic surgeon for the gender-transition mastectomy she got at 16. I was the only reporter to attend the entire 3-week, historic trial. Subscribe to my Substack to receive an alert about the feature article I have coming out next week in a major publication out about the trial: benryan.substack.com. I cover pediatric gender medicine as a specialty on my Substack. Sorry to just give just a teaser for now about the case! But I wanted to get the word out about the verdict promptly, the slower pace of feature-article publishing notwithstanding. The entire case file was put under seal when the trial started (although I obtained all those documents before they was sealed), and all the transcripts from the trial are also under seal. The riveting trial was sparsely attended and there was only one other reporter at the trial; and he only attended for part of it and, as I observed, took few notes. So my own hundreds of pages of notes from the trial will likely remain the only way for the public to learn about the all finer details of what transpired, possibly ever (or until an appeal, should that happen). In addition to my article coming out in the media outlet soon, I intend to write a lot about what I observed and learned on my Substack over the coming weeks. Stay tuned…

Two-thirds of Virginia voters agree politicians shouldn't be doing this and I think it's got to be noted that what we have right now is a power grab in which they're ignoring the will of voters. Abigail Spanberger and the Democrats ran on a promise of affordability, but the very first bill that she is going to sign has nothing to do with affordability. It has everything to do with a power grab by politicians who don't trust voters. I will work to defeat the redistricting push by any means necessary.

@megbasham @CTmagazine Sadly, they met our expectations. This is exactly what we thought their posture would be. It just further solidifies that political posturing is their compass. Actual Christianity today is under attack & they have become the platform for it.

So I was actually inclined to give @CTmagazine a little grace on publishing nothing on the leftist attack on Cities Church for 48 hours. I figured, it's a long holiday weekend, I won't join the pile on. Hopefully, as America's most recognized Christian magazine, they'll have something informative come Tuesday. Well, Tuesday is here. And what they have is no news story of any kind, despite this being an incredibly important evangelical story, but only an op-ed that takes a both sides position. It still manages to be a critique of ICE. Of course.

This is from Joe Carter @TGC. The activists "attended." Joe has been wrong about everything for years - BLM, COVID, the Vaxx, all of it. He's either a paid bad actor, the least intelligent person able to reach literacy, evil, or some combination. No other option.

5.5 years ago, while Platt & Kelsey shutdown their church because of COVID, they helped coordinate and proudly participated in this BLM-adjacent march in DC. Will they condemn the actions in Minneapolis?

On November 24, Reuters ran a story about the Trump Administration's decision to further vet the Afghan refugees after Biden's disastrous and rushed pull-out. The concern was their backgrounds had not been thoroughly checked for terrorist concerns. The next day, on Nov. 24, @WorldRelief put out a statement condemning Trump for initiating further vetting, saying it would "retraumatize" the refugees. The very next day, Afghan refugee Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who World Relief settled in the US, shot two National Guards in cold blood, killing Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, who was only 20 years old and leaving 24-year-old Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe in critical condition. Why would World Relief, the immigration arm of the @naevangelicals, oppose further vetting that we can now see was obviously warranted? Well, one reason could be that World Relief has received $330 million from the federal government since 2021. In 2021, the year they settled Lakanwal, they received $56 million from the federal government. This is not purely a humanitarian issue, or else they would have little concern about vetting immigrants from known terrorist nations. One of the most heated attacks I received for my book, Shepherds for Sale, was my exposure of World Relief and how it has been manipulating Scripture to convince Christians they must embrace the destruction of their nation and culture in order to "welcome the strangers." Yet again and again my cautions have been proved correct.

Virginia Democrats are claiming their amendment is about “protecting same-sex marriage,” but same-sex marriage is already protected under federal law. What this amendment really does is insert “gender” and gender identity into the Virginia Constitution and outlaw any distinction based on biological sex. That change would unleash real-world chaos across the state, just like we’ve already seen elsewhere. Here are the real consequences: 1.Religious adoption and foster agencies would lose their exemptions and could be forced to shut down, just like Catholic Charities did in Massachusetts and Illinois. 2.Schools would lose authority over bathrooms, pronouns, dress codes, and locker rooms, because any sex-based policy would become a constitutional violation. 3.Girls’ sports could not exclude biological males, because gender identity would become a constitutional right. This is already happening in places like Connecticut. 4.Prisons and jails would have to house inmates based on gender identity instead of biology, repeating the same safety problems seen in California. 5.Women’s shelters and crisis centers would be forced to admit biological males or face lawsuits, as happened in Anchorage and Vancouver. 6.Doctors and hospitals could be forced to perform gender-transition treatments even if it violates medical judgment or religious belief, mirroring lawsuits seen nationwide. 7.Small businesses and employers could face constitutional lawsuits over pronouns, bathrooms, and dress codes—far beyond ordinary HR disputes. 8.Parents could lose custody in gender-identity disputes, as already seen in Ohio and Washington, because a constitutional right to gender identity would override parental rights. 9.Every sex-based law or policy in Virginia—bathrooms, athletics, shelters, prisons, medical rules, parentage laws—would be vulnerable to constitutional challenge. This amendment isn’t about marriage. It is about permanently embedding gender-identity ideology into the Virginia Constitution in a way that overrides religious liberty, women’s rights, parental authority, medical judgment, and basic biological reality. Voters deserve to know exactly what’s in it—and what it will do.

Here is what we know about the evangelical NGO @WorldRelief’s involvement with the Afghan terrorist, It dovetails with my book, Shepherds for Sale, which covers World Relief’s funding and activities. First, World Relief is an arm of the @NAEvangelicals, one of the largest coalition of evangelical churches in the world. For decades, it has received funding from secular left-wing activists to bring progressive politics into conservative, evangelical, churches. For example, in partnership with the National Immigration Forum, it used money from George Soros to set up the Evangelical immigration Table to try to convince that all important evangelical vote that God supports amnesty and open borders. World Relief lobbied for bringing in the Afghan immigrants and settled them, of course for a substantial government payment. When the Trump administration (as we now see for good reason) decided that these refugees needed to be re-vetted for the safety of Americans, World Relief executive @MatthewSoerens fought additional vetting. He insisted that they had already been sufficiently vetted. Now we know that the Trump administration was correct. Link to full article with Soeren’s remarks below.
