@TheRedJinty @wrreviews @Andy_Sandy3 @Tangent_Thomas @Jesiaaah We used the sludge tender chassis as I had already designed it for another project, and the three axles just suited the snow machine well. I couldn’t tell you if it’s authentic to the real model, but we’re glad it looks believable!

@wrreviews @Andy_Sandy3 @Tangent_Thomas @ChurchillModels @Jesiaaah Is it built on a replica of the "sludge tender" chasis? I can totally believe the crew turning one of those into the machine. Or at least making a copy of the chasis.

so, today I went to a train show in bradford and you won't believe this, I met the crew from Project Tiger Moth! They were super friendly and had this incredible Gauge 1 winter themed layout! Such an honor to meet such wonderful people1

Had an absolute ball with the boys on another display! The winter fair is my favourite scene we’ve created so far, using Jacob’s beautiful buildings. I contributed the Punch & Judy, canopy, and Dilly Duckling. I also designed the signage with the help of Nic Goodrich.

Yellow Diesel also runs on DC track power, though I don’t have a great place to run him right now. Here’s hoping that changes soon… This is the first of many models to come in future, so stay tuned!

When I started this project, there were no 3D scans of the twins’ faces like we have now. Instead, I had a friend scan the ERTL toys, which happen to use scaled down casts. I then meticulously restored the detail to both faces in Blender. A lot of work, but well worth it!
