Brady was beat by the other Manning who had almost as many INT as TD’s for his career? So Mahomes was beat by an equal/greater QB at the time and Brady was beat by an inferior QB.

@SD3pete @isasunuvabitch @Farzin21 Agreed, I think the decision needs to come from Clark Hunt. He needs to decide what he is willing to do to keep wining. Kind of like with Bob Sutton, I don’t think that decision came from Andy. Hunt needs to say either hire outside and relinquish play calling or retire.

Here’s Patrick Mahomes’ stats from each season. Ever since Nagy became the OC, Mahomes’ passer rating hasn’t been as good as It was before. (I’m excluding 2017 cuz he played just 1 game that year.) 2023 it was the drops, 2024 it was the injuries. You can’t use either as an excuse this year. The Chiefs offense was at full strength before some of the recent injuries/drops. The offense currently still has all this great speed and guys aren’t getting open. Repeated mistakes on offense since 2023, same year Nagy became OC. It’s not a coincidence. There’s 3 years of data to go off of now. It is time to for a change at OC.

@SD3pete @isasunuvabitch @Farzin21 I agree it could be happening behind closed doors however the same mistakes keep getting made which leads me to believe it it’s not happening behind closed doors either. I don’t think we will ever know but I do think some outside coaches can help this situation. Bring new ideas.

@isasunuvabitch @Farzin21 I think that the difference is that EB got on to guys when they slacked, he would yell at them after a bad rep and hold them accountable. I have not seen that from Nagy I think that’s the biggest difference. EB held you accountable, Nagy doesn’t. I think the players respected EB.

The only “positive” that might come out of this is that Andy Reid will have to update his playbook since he might have a back up QB all next season.

@hbtCHIEFS If Stefanski is fired how do you feel about him being brought in as the OC with the deal that he will be HC once Andy retires? I know it would take a lot for Stefanski to pass up a HC job but just a thought.

At minimum, Matt Nagy and Connor Embree have to go this offseason. Bring in a real WR coach and a new offensive "play caller" that can infuse new ideas into this stale offense. Play caller in quotes since Big Red will still probably call plays, but KC's offense needs a refresh.

@Farzin21 Nope it was Andy Reid one of the most conservative coaches deciding to go for it on their side of the field. I really believe the chiefs would have won this if they punted and let the defense continue dominating. If I’m the defense I am pissed at Andy for not trusting them

@Arrowhead_Adam Clark Hunt also needs to be more aggressive. Take some swings. And the coaches need to have experience for position coaches. I still think our WR coach is unqualified and I think it shows in the lack of development in our WRs.

@Arrowhead_Adam I haven’t heard anyone really say it but yes! It’s hard to keep the success going when you’re picking 31st or 32nd for the past 3 years and the coaches are too comfortable. Whoever got involved to fire Bob Sutton needs to step up again and fire some coaches.

Some things are catching up with the Chiefs. Not adding outside voices to their coaching staff (and other teams not picking off their tree). Things are stagnant. Picking late each draft. The hubris of being a dynasty. Huge contracts with an owner who isn’t super aggressive. The wear and tear of playing extra games every season. Hell, the unlucky end of variance after being lucky last year. We might even be witnessing something we thought they were immune to — the typical Super Bowl hangover. Heavy lies the crown ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
