@LyleGraversen I don’t think that, I just think he might be a little bonkers based on closed door interview reports. Omar Cooper can do the same stuff, has more size and will be there in the early 20s.

I don't understand the response of "Lemon is a bad fit for KC because he isn't an X". If the Chiefs traded for Amon-Ra would that be your response? KC needs a long term replacement for Kelce's reliable get open and catch the ball role. Lemon can do that.

The Chiefs hit big on Jaylen Watson in the 7th, L’Jarius Sneed in the 4th and undrafted Charvarius Ward via lowball trade. Now 3rd rounder Nohl Williams looks like their next stud CB. Even Joshua Williams was a solid hit. There’s no reason to pivot away from what’s working and draft corners early — unless somebody slides and the value is so insane they simply cannot pass.

@Arrowhead_Adam But if say, Delane hits then he is traded for a 1 in four years like Trent. Draft pedigree matters in that case. Delane isnt my first choice but if he is the pick at 9, so be it.

If Sonny Styles is there at 9, Veach should call that pick in so fast he sprains his fingers doing it. Honestly think Styles is Fred Warner-esque with more pass-rush utility. Most fail-proof player on the board.

@darrellhappy78 Sure if a top 10 player slips into the 20s, you get a reasonable trade up, he lives up to expectations and stays healthy. I noted that a similar situation would be worth exploring but unless it falls in your lap keep moneyballing the position. They’re unbelievable at it.

@Arrowhead_Adam I mean we got McDuffie in the 1st, he played amazing for years, then we got to recoup a ton for him. I'd say that strategy works as well.

@ChadVanDam11 I just am extremely confident they can find a starter in rounds 3-7 even if they have to double dip like Williams and Watson years ago.

@Arrowhead_Adam If we're going CB at 29 or 40 he's going to be a stud. With who we have now and who will be leaving next year CB is a bigger need than some think and a bigger need than other positions. Fulton is gone most likely and after that it's pretty bare on the outside. Kohou is a slot guy

@ChiefsJeremy Yeah. You want players you re-sign at 9 and 29 for sure. Probably even 40. Trading McDuffie was great but they can’t expect that to happen every time they pick a secondary player early. Juan Thornhill was a second rounder who walked away for nothing.

@dwatkins1973 He was a 7th rounder who played a ton over a four year stint. Most 7th rounders wash out or barely stick. That’s a hit. You’ll take it every time.

@ChadVanDam11 I think picking corner before 74 — unless there’s a stud who slides 10+ spots — is a mistake. You’re undercutting a competitive advantage — being the best team at finding cheap unheralded CB talent and elevating it.

@Arrowhead_Adam I prefer CB at 29 or 40. Definitely do not want to go at 9. DE is my #1 preference at 9. WR is my 2nd. My dream would be DE, WR, CB with our first three picks. Or WR, DE, CB. Spags and Merritt will do wonders with our secondary. We have a great safety group to help too.
