I've been playing more @midnightsuns , and I'm consistently impressed with how well #Firaxis made this game. The art and sound are great. The concept is interesting. Combat feels more Final Fantasy than X-Com, but it works. I'd love to see them do a similar game with a new IP.

@preta_6 Internet connection should not affect video recording. It might affect video calls, but with calls latency matters as much as upload/download speed. If Starlink serves you well, I'm glad. If not, last time I lived in New West I liked cable internet via aebc.com

My internet connection sucked, and makes for bad video recording. Plus I love new technology and can’t wait to admire the satellite receiver as I gaze out the bedroom window.

Tomorrow, once the mounting hardware arrives, I’ll attempt to install Starlink on my garage. Other internet is disconnected on Friday. Had the easiest cancellation call today: when they started their customer retention plea I just said “I already got Starlink, too late.” Done.

I loved the first #GabrielKnight game, but I never tried the 2nd one and didn't get far into the 3rd. You can see the influence of tech as the series jumped from 2D to FMV to 3D, but IMO the first game with its classic 90s 2D still looks best. gog.com/en/game/gabrie…

I installed a 9.6 GB update for #CODWW2 on Steam today and my (single player) game install went from over 90 GB down to under 50 GB. I hate that there are no patch notes posted to explain the update, but I guess I should thank @Activision for the increased space efficiency.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is a fun game with nice little story events, but the triggering seems so flawed. Like, this one says "when fleeing the city", but I didn't flee a city. I just conquered one. Liu Bei and his family weren't there. #TW3K

I started playing #HogwartsLegacy, set in the 1890s, and my player character is being constantly they/them'd. NPCs get called "she" or "he" regularly, but I guess #AvalancheSoftware was too cheap/lazy to record two sets of dialogue to account for male and female protagonists.

The environment effects in #Valheim are so good. The way the water moves up and down along the shore, the way the wind and rain look and feel, the waves out on the open ocean. All this in under 2 GB. It is magnifcent.

I've been frequently eating meat for a year and a half and I'm realising real meat doesn't taste better than veg alternatives. Folks say that #tofu is bland, but meat and fish are often worse than bland, they taste and smell bad until you mask it with spices and seasoning.
