@WSAnything I actually just ordered this rather cool looking edition the other day!

@CinemaisSimple Read ‘Colonel Sun’ by Robert Markham, (Kingsley Amiss). It’s not the same as the Fleming novels but still quite good.

Just finished reading all the Ian Fleming Bond novels and feeling melancholy because there will never be a new Ian Fleming Bond novel

@scwab123 @filmizon Totally agree, I enjoyed the read but Goldfinger did not live up to expectations for me and I can’t lie I felt the same way about OHMSS the film is superior imo

@CinemaisSimple @filmizon Dr. No is my favorite as well. Goldfinger was a huge disappointment tbh. Goldfinger the movie was superior.

@CinemaisSimple Fleming died too young. One wonders what he may have written in the space age.

The Mountain (1956)

@filmizon I read all the short stories, even read Thrilling Cities, Diamond Smugglers & Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for good measure 😅. Going to re read the series and add in the Horowitz novels then move on to the extended series. Live and Let Die & Dr No are my fav novels what about you?

@CinemaisSimple Did you read all of his short stories too? After that, there's always the novels by the authors who took on the Bond stories after Fleming passed away - Kingsley Amis, Christopher Wood, John Gardner, Raymond Benson, etc. Also got to ask, any favorites from the Fleming novels?

@BobbyDanger55 Honestly Die Another Day has been growing on me, I like it more and more with every watch. It was once at the bottom of my list

@CinemaisSimple Same with Die Another Day, it's my 2nd fav Pierce Bond. Maybe tied with The World is Not Enough. They both felt like Roger Bonds.

@BobbyDanger55 There’s a lot to like about Spectre, the cinematography, wardrobe, set design, Hinx, Spectre meeting, solid Bond girls, Bond is pretty cool in it. But I needed ALOT more from Christoph Waltz and the Blofeld/Bond brotherhood was just ridiculous imo.

@CinemaisSimple I know I'm alone on an island here, but "SPECTRE" is my favorite out of all the Craig Bonds.
