@For_Film_Fans I did not like it because Sean Connery looked too old and the score was bad.

SEAN CONNERY as 007 for the 7th & final time. NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN (1983) It’s almost the Bond about which we do not speak, but this remake of ‘Thunderball’ (1965) still did $160m at the box office despite its not being made by EON.

@TheStingisBack Not my type of Connery movies. I rather like the movies in which he played the role of a patrician like Woman of straw or Marnie.

Watched The Hill (1965) this morning, the first of five Connery/Sidney Lumet collaborations. Casting him in gritty, unglamorous roles was a brilliant move. The Offence may be Connery's darkest character, which helped him break away from his 007 suave image.

@CinemaTweets1 A masterpiece that unfortunately did not do well at the box office in 1977. That was because Star Wars stole the whole show.

Sorcerer turned 49 years old this week. Please believe me when I say you’re doing a disservice to yourself if you haven’t seen this film- it’s a masterpiece. Directed by William Friedkin and featuring Roy Scheider, the acting, story & the filmmaking here are all tremendous. The last 90 minutes of this film, I barely exhaled. I’m begging you to see this if you haven’t already.

We have heard from numerous people who have worked with him, Russell Crowe is very fair and very cool, but if you push him, he will more than push back! And honestly, that's the way it should be, because people can be so obnoxious and awful to celebrities.

RUSSELL CROWE Love him. Situation (not major). Dealt with (calmly, firmly, efficiently). People can be twots, & when they are (as here) need to be handled. Not WW3, calm down everyone, they got their (daft) autographs, he caught his flight in time.
