I beat Resident Evil 1 for the first time and it was dope! Inventory management in this game is no joke. I also found out I got the bad ending lmao But the Spencer Mansion is an amazing setting, in terms of atmosphere this might be my favorite in the series I’m gonna play the 2002 remake next so I’m curious to see what they changed

Marathon is the second best game Bungie has ever made. Cryo Archive is absolutely insane.

@kozlovskyi79217 Just played OG RE1, and tbh that game is more of a historical curiosity than nothing else at this point. It’s still good, but every single change made in the remake is for the better.

RE4 original is the most overrated. As for underrated, Idk. Code Veronica, maybe, or OG RE1 considering how many people think Remake just "easily" replaces it.

The survival horror Resident Evil games just don't feel right without ink ribbons.

Played through OG RE1 for the first time recently and had to run it twice cause i did not realize if you don’t wait for Barry to drop you a rope halfway through the game he fucking *dies* and you get the bad ending. Loved it btw, but can now say the remake is way better.

am I gonna get murdered if I say that the lead character and story of Skyrim were also not its greatest strengths

@PaulTassi Of course not, but skyrim is still super unique as a setting to this day and TES has awesome lore. Crimson desert just looks like generic fantasy world mashup #999

@Nick_Marseil Biggest upgrade i’ve found is actually MGS Delta, if you load up the intro zone without the PSSR2 toggle and then load it again with it on, it looks like triple the resolution.

Just tried MGS delta with the PSSR2 patch and after switching back and forth a couple times i wonder how they even allowed that to ship in the first place. It looked terrible. It’s so much better now and i can finally play it without having a headache from the shimmering.

@davidscottjaffe Yeah let’s make the machine hallucinate our games instead of letting a human artist make them. It looks like shit, is actively offensive to the developers and the medium, and has no place nor nothing good to offer. Thank god it’s getting blasted.

There is no doubt I come across as mister contrarian. But that's prob because I think most people on gaming twitter are mister performative. I think this shit is cool. NVIDIA has already said if devs want to they can have it so their games don't use it. It's simply another option for devs and- frankly- given how much some people demand bleeding edge visuals- it seems a nice leg up for some AA teams (who have games that are better than AAA but don't have the budget for that visual fidelity).

@AerithsSeat John Linneman is great, you could always tell he's one of the only ones who cares about the games beyond the tech stuff over at DF.

@SpIinterCaI You can mod it in but DLSS is almost always implemented intentionally by devs. They should not support it officially anymore.
