51 percent of Palestinian child detainees are held in Israeli prisons without charge or trial — the highest number and highest proportion on record since DCIP began monitoring in 2008 351 Palestinian children are detained in Israeli prisons as of December 31, 2025, with 180 of them being held in administrative detention. The Israeli Prison Service, which typically releases detainee data quarterly, was over two months late publishing the figures. DCIP has gathered firsthand testimonies from previously detained children describing systematic torture, beatings, solitary confinement, and denial of food, water and medical care. Israel has barred the International Committee of the Red Cross from visiting any Palestinian detainees since October 7, 2023. Lawyers representing child detainees report escalating barriers to legal access, with some children who have attempted to send messages to their families through lawyers have been beaten.

its not only his identity she felt betrayed by but also by the fact that despite everything she had done for him, all the love she showered upon him, he still believes that she'd just let him die & move on to live happily ever after with someone else #PursuitofJade

I’ve read some of the chapters & I think they do a good job of capturing the essence of the scenes & characters while keeping it in context with the foundations they’ve set at the beginning of #pursuitofjade. But I can see why people who read the book first may be particular.

I think they’ve adapted the novel well because you can’t relay every inner monologue from the book. But I do love his portrayal as gentle, vulnerable, & earnest with only her while he has the reputation of a ruthless violent general. I’ll always eat up that trope. #pursuitofjade
