I was served gluten free pasta for lunch, courtesy of a young German mother who recently relocated to Mallorca. She strictly withheld the Parmigiano because apparently, joy is bad for your health. Instead, she proudly detailed her morning routine: downing a tablespoon of olive oil alongside a small pharmacy of pills to strengthen her gut, lift her mood, and optimise vitamin intake. I told her I find that retarded and actually, sad. I cook with real olive oil, no Spaniard drinks it, I eat real pasta and proper bread almost every day, and my gut is doing just fine with double espressi and a couple of cigs right after waking up. After breakfast, I drifted out onto my air mattress in the pool just to witness the circus migrate from the patio to the water. They proceeded to log a ten minutes of open air exercises and unironically called it sport. They asked why I wasn't participating. I told them that I am not into pseudo sports. I had just finished a full week of putting in 5 hours a day of tennis and padel; I was perfectly happy just relaxing on the water and not pretending like them. Undeterred by the reality check, she later pivoted to critiquing my mosquito spray, claiming everything Johnson & Johnson manufactures is carcinogenic. It was an absolute monsoon of words with zero allowance for new input. I have a couple of friends like that, professional overthinkers. Meanwhile, I drink, I smoke, I eat whatever I want, granted, I love fruits and cook a lot, and I out train most people. In my humble opinion, her hyper optimised life is significantly sadder than mine. The saving grace at the table was her husband. A Turkish guy, sharp, kind, and on my wavelength. Total yin and yang. How he survives the daily olive oil sermons is beyond me, but he’s a saint.

People don’t appreciate enough how easy it is to pick winners right now. The best thing about this horrible market over the last 1-2 years is that you can finally see who actually means it. Anyone can build when the chart is green and the whole market is flying. What people take for granted is how hard it is to keep going when your token is down -90%, your community and investors turn on you, and every excuse to quit is sitting right there. The founders still standing after a market like this passed one of the toughest filters there is. And that filter tells you almost everything you need to know about who’s worth backing.

if you are an introvert these are the “weather” questions people ask on rotation at events: - where are you from? - what do you do? - when did you get in? - when do you leave? - where are you staying? - how’s the event going so far? - what are you doing later? - are you going to “next conference”?

By far, One of the smartest technical brain on the perp dex space in here.

@blknoiz06 @vibhu the reason why hypercore spot is better is because it’s an orderbook and orderbooks are better than AMMs in every way “limit” orders on jupiter and titan are not limit orders, they are just a keeper listening for a condition before slamming a market order a limit order is a maker order that rests on the book, paying 3x less fees and literally no slippage and when you have an OEMS like @tread_fi, you can size in/out using maker algos that repeg many maker slices with the UX of a market order this isn’t a solana vs hyperliquid debate, this is an orderbook vs AMM debate and orderbooks will always win if you really want whales to trade $ANSEM on solana, you need @ArcherExchange_ (a fully onchain spot CLOB on solana) to list it and get integrated into tread, as required.
