@SA_Learns Hello, I have invited Daniel to come to Northern Ireland to do block play training in September. I was wondering if I could use a couple of these photos for my advertising on social media?

@JuneOSullivan This also applies to those who spend time with people with dementia. Yesterday I put out the crib with my 87yo mother who is in advanced stage of dementia. Her and I sang lots of traditional carols- word for word. Wonderful for both of us as she no longer engages in conversation

Are #earlyyears staff confident and encouraged to sing? I think not, so let's crank this up. Babies love a song!

More content for next week's @Bookbug_SBT Webinar, right here in today's @guardian. Every parent & every early years staff member deserves to know abt this science. The rhythm of their speech shapes babies' brains. @RuthBoreham @paulinescott222 @margl43 theguardian.com/science/2023/d…

@sttheresasglebe The space looks fabulous now in summer- I love the forest area!

Lovely to welcome today our little friends from LittleFlower Playgroup to join our P1/2 class for Outdoor Play.
We are delighted to have these wonderful facilities & to watch children capture their imagination when playing outdoors.
Call again little people.

@earlyed_uk Fab start to the #CentenaryFestival. The talks need to be compulsory viewing for all in ECEC and those who make the ‘rules’. My takeaway ‘Truthfully surrender to the child led approach - they will truly lead the way’. Hard work that must be developmentally informed
English

@sttheresasglebe Brilliant work- amazing transformation of your garden! Lots of learning going on!

We are on a journey with Outdoor Play. Yr3 & 4 have the best craic in our exciting outdoor learning area, which is a big hit, but in particular our Mud Kitchen area. Check out the fun they had but watch the way the children can tidy away all their play equipment @ClareDevlinEEC

@KateJohnston3 @StClaresAbbey @ClareDevlinEEC @nickyclements71 @earlyed_uk @ColeFey @CiarnaC I wondered if you've seen this or know the school?

At this conference, a day of connections, inspiration and passion, @b_merrick mentioned that although it was over the recordings will be available until the end of the summer term (English holiday time I presume) so if you want access get in touch asap! @UpstartScot was there

@CathyEarlyYears @KateJohnston3 @StClaresAbbey @nickyclements71 @earlyed_uk I’m delighted that you liked the video- an amazing school; superb leadership, very honest about their journey and very much still on the journey. I’m delighted that they got this platform to share their work and to open the conversation about child led learning and play for 4-6yo
English

@KateJohnston3 Agree. I encourage everyone to watch back. It was great to hear your honest reflections @StClaresAbbey team describing a 5 yr journey to valuing play in its richest forms in response to EYFS children. Everything you said excited me! @ClareDevlinEEC @nickyclements71 @earlyed_uk

English

@RetirementTales Sounds fantastic. Imagine the great start in life those children are getting. Lots of 1-2-1 teaching and learning from each other. And hopefully interventions in place to afford them the opportunity to meet and learn with others from around the world.

With cutting paperwork a primary aim of the revised EYFS, do we need to revisit the true purpose of learning stories and learning journeys and reassess our approach to them? @ClareDevlinEEC @NurseryWorld

Check out this lorry that John created during Play
Lots of language about colours, shapes, length & height, as well as finding shapes & materials that would make his lorry cool.
