I know there’s this strong belief people are getting out of academia and it’s getting harder to recruit BUT I have circa 100 apps for 1 position and they’re GOOD! I mean, VERY GOOD. Like, I wouldn’t have been competitive as a candidate in comparison. It’s exciting but depressing
