@dannybster The Building Safety Regulator was established in 2022 and didn’t become the building control body for higher risk buildings until 2023, so would’ve had no involvement in signing off Agar Grove.

The housing secretary says he, like the PM, is getting on with the job & then boasts hes reforming right to buy Tweaks not change. They shouldn't be reforming RTB, they should be scrapping it. Along with introducing rent controls & a massive program of council house building

@SteveReedMP Why are tenants still fighting for damp and mould repairs after Awaab’s Law when the entire point was to speed up remediation? Six months in, too many landlords still seem comfortable delaying works and penny-pinching on tenant safety because the consequences remain too weak.

Every day, children in our care system live in fear — fear of being abused, exploited by criminal gangs and predators, groomed, discriminated against for being a care kid. Too many care-experienced young people are losing hope while those in power fail to act. Make care experience a protected characteristic. Protect the vulnerable now, or face the social and economic consequences later.
