I once wore the patch. I know the men and women of the 82nd Airborne Division represent the very best of our nation. When we ask our troops to deploy, they deserve to know that risking their lives was the last option. They deserve clarity and a mission worthy of their sacrifice. I pray they receive it. Ok cool, what's the standard then that is not being applied evenly? Here is what they are saying... "Its ok to deface Christian symbols, because the Christians wont do anything about it" "Its not ok to deface Muslim symbols, because Muslims will riot or physically harm you" So, what standard is out there that says its not ok to do either? Hint* there isnt one. They are free to deface Allah as well. The standard is set by the group on what they determine to be tolerable. Christians have allowed the defacing of their symbols with no physical pushback. Muslims have not. Thats each group setting is OWN standards. Not some governing body dictating some sort of fairness doctrine. Again, these aren't people living by some sort of law or governing standard. You're watching 3 people in real time, make a risk assessment that... Its ok to one thing because there are no consequences, and its not ok to do the other thing because there are not. Let me try and break it down very simply... Why it’s not technically a double standard A true double standard requires: -The same authority applying different rules to equal situations -That’s not what’s happening here. Instead: -There is no single authority controlling how all Christians or all Muslims respond -Reactions come from different groups, cultures, and individuals, not one unified rule system So it’s not: “One rule applied differently” It’s: “Different groups reacting differently”

@SirGeneTX @DVanLangenhove Sort of like policing in an affluent suburb vs a poor inner city. The policing is different, not because of a double standard, but because the situation is different. All the laws are the same. The circumstances change the behavior.

One is a religion of tolerance and peace, the other of oppression and death. That’s not a double standard. That’s called a risk assessment.
