Mike Gianaris has been the single greatest strategist and floor leader in @NYSenateDems history, leading the conference along with @AndreaSCousins to an historic super majority and stable governing coalition with the Assembly and Governor, benefitting millions of New Yorkers on health & human rights, worker protections, transit equity, electoral reform, corporate accountability, the environment, and more. And he beat Jeff Bezos, too, for good measure. His is a stellar career and I’m grateful for Mike’s long service to New York.

@dealbook Maybe we should see less of Erika Kirk if her own stance is she shouldn’t have a career (she does paid engagements) and should just be home with her kids. How are we seeing so much of these moms who think careers are bad when the videos are of them working for pay??

US Citizen detained by ICE: Clearly it didn't matter that I was a citizen, a veteran, or identified who I was. They ignored everything I said. They just broke my window and dragged me out. I let them know I was a veteran, I wasn't doing anything wrong, just trying to get to work.

Stop fear-mongering. ICE does NOT arrest or deport U.S. citizens. If a U.S. citizen is arrested, it is because they have obstructed or assaulted law enforcement. What makes someone a target for immigration enforcement is if they are illegally in the U.S.—NOT their skin color, race, or ethnicity. Secretary Noem has been clear: rioters will not stop us or slow us down.

3/This is true for every category: 2X # of Black students, 5X Hispanic students & > 5X students in poverty attend NYC schools in highest weighted need quartile & these schools are LEAST likely to meet the class size caps. I sent this analysis to @madinatoure & it was omitted.

As chart shows, fewer than 1/2 classes in highest weighted need school quartile met class size caps this fall, compared to 73.6% of the classes in the lowest weighted need quartile. In fact the more high needs students a school has, the LESS likely they would have smaller classes

@madinatoure DOE cost estimates quoted also make no sense & reporters shd question them. In 2023 ,DOE estimate for staffing was $1.3B. In July 2025, they said it would cost $1.4B - $1.9B compared to FY 2023. Now in Nov. 2025 they say they've spent $600M so far but need another $950M- $1.7B?
