@ClassicREbirth Whatever is easier or preferable, I'm in ha. Always a minor dislike that the full screen would just do a 4:3 stretch rather than pixel perfect integer scaling xD

Back to the D3D11 wrapper update, I got helped a few people with AMD cards and can confirm this solution fixes the fiendish black boxes for good, along other issues. Currently in the process of adding native HD hooks and some due polishing for v1.1.4. #ResidentEvil #Biohazard

@SVKaiser Suppose it's not a huge coincidence since Exhumed/Powerslave was originally a build engine title on PC... That said, it may share elements but since the Saturn's rendering for the game is actual 3D obviously those elements are likely radically different?

Really excited to finally see this released. My suspicion of it being heavily BUILD engine inspired when I was reverse engineering it were actually true.

In RE1, there's a mysterious door we never get to enter that's welded shut near the fountain. This door is seen during the final boss and leads to the heliport! Umbrella employees would land here and go through THIS door to enter the lab and skip all the Mansion puzzles. #REBHFun

@ClassicREMods The jump is mapped to L2 when enabling dual analog controls

The Duke Nukem D-Day prototype has a dual analog control mode buried inside it, by default it uses single analog tank controls, but inside a debug menu you can toggle different control mappings, which is not accessible in the options.

@VinciusMedeiro6 awesome work on the patch, only minor issue is pressing triangle doesnt work for jumping as your video shows, have to push in the left analogue stick

I made a patch for PCSX2 that defaults it to use the Dual stick controls, just put the pnach file in the patches folder and enable in the game properties. The camera y-axis is inverted but you can change in the emulator control mappings mediafire.com/file/rc153kdtc…

@VinciusMedeiro6 I'm hoping someone will be able to mod this to fix it up a touch such as finishing the basic scripted sequences and level endings/transitions... Maybe add a few extra enemies here and there etc.

@19Freddie88 the .exe was probably removed by your anti-virus. For some reason the mediakite version of RE1 which was used with classic rebirth flags as a false positive, even more so when hex edited... Don't have any fears, the biggest names in the RE community have all played it.

@ClassicREMods I’m having trouble trying to play any modded resident evil. I downloaded containment, extracted the files yet when I try to start a game it says file not found. How do I play the game ?

@zealot_tomato Very cool indeed! If the culling to the enivronmens can be disabled, it will be an amazing way to re-experience the game!

Any calls made on the PlayStation can be replicated with equivelant functions on Windows. Though my 2 cents might be less then a ha'penny, I don't even know how to C code.

@ChrisRussell98 @ThomasR71437323 @YukiVamp1 @casey_Payne23 @BioDeclassified I wouldn't hold much hope for PE1 and PE2 simply because those games never had native PC ports. CVX didn't either BUT, it was ported to xbox 360, which utilises directx, which, is what pc's use, making it a much more viable for porting. Just my 2 cents.

@ThomasR71437323 @YukiVamp1 @casey_Payne23 @BioDeclassified @ClassicREMods I wasn't exactly sure what that meant, when I saw CVX on there as a GoG official choice, but that does at least help shine the idea of finally giving me refreshed hope on that PC port for that game. If CVX has a chance, I hope PE1 at the very least has a chance too.

@Andy_Nition Ditto. They are far from perfect, but considering the hardware they were using and the limitations of it all, it's still impressive to have gotten handheld games from our favourite franchises back then...

@ClassicREMods As the years have gone by I’ve developed an appreciation for things like RE:Gaiden or the GBC ports of Rainbow 6 or Alone in the Dark. Though they have some issues. It’s just plain cool they exist.

@Andy_Nition Fun fact, that picture of Leon on the box there is from concept art for Resident Evil 1.5 they recycled... I'm a Gaiden lover too. I had it when I was a kid back in 2001. It aint perfect, which is why I'm gonna mod it and fix a few things, but it's not a 'bad' game either!
