curioso che dopo 1 settimana che l'hacker cinese Xu Zewei è stato estradato negli US, adesso hacker cinesi attacchino i sistemi informatici della pubblica amministrazione italiana

Nel 2001 il reddito medio da pensioni era il 61% di quello dei dipendenti. Ora è il 92%. I contributi sociali già ora non sono sufficienti a pagare le pensioni e ogni anno lo Stato trasferisce buona parte dell'Irpef all'Inps. Nel 2024 sono stati trasferiti 180 miliardi.

Guardando i redditi dichiarati dagli italiani si scopre che in media un pensionato ha visto il suo reddito crescere quanto quello di un imprenditore negli ultimi 2 decenni. Che posto stupendo l'Italia.

It matters greatly, here's why:
1. China can run out of USD, but it can't run out of CNY.
2. China's biggest USD outflow is in commodity imports - est. $1.5-2.0 trillion in commodities, mostly in energy.
3. So every 10% of their commodity import bill paid in CNY instead of USD frees up $150-200bn in USD (10% x $1.5-2.0tn)
4. This means China can avoid a 1997 SE Asia currency crisis indefinitely by shifting USD outflows for commodities to CNY commodities.
5. Real-world symptom of what I describe here would be China trade surplus rising 25% y/y despite CNY rising sharply v. USD, as occurred in 2025 v. 2024.

There's at least 15% padding in the cost for currency conversion. So it doesn't matter if they pay in CNY or legos. It's all converted into local currency or USD. That's it.

"If you can reconvert all oil back to dollars, it's not about backing the dollar. It's about forcing China to have to only buy oil and gas in dollars. China dramatically ramped up import of Bauxite in March from Guinea.
It's also increasing import of raw aluminum & alumina from around the world while export of alumina has stagnated.
It remains to be seen what happens when the Gulf aluminum plant has stopped & China is also not exporting more of it.
It seems like we will have aluminum shortages & px rise in the next few months.
