Poilievre was doing what many did right after, assuming it was terrorism. For a guy who claims the media lies he's pretty comfortable using CTV as a shield. Leaders should wait for facts. You can tell he feels caught...80% of his reply is an unrelated attack on the reporter.

Never met a journalist who "reports what they're told". That's stenography, not journalism. Fascinated by the replies asking why CBC is so pro-Poliviere. 180° from the long held complaint that they always praise Liberals. 'Good journalists only support MY world view!'

Just got a private, plaintive message from someone who said it must be difficult to only be able to report what I'm told. I'm sure the sender is sincere. But I also know he's wrong. Reply however you like but it's important to make clear: I have never been prevented by anyone from reporting what's accurate. Ever. I'm sure my colleagues at CBC and other media organizations have exactly the same experience.
