Australia should be a country where hard work, not what you inherit, gets you ahead in life.

I’ll help Albo out here: ‘Yes, it’s a broken promise. We’ve always wanted to do it - but we thought the political risk was too high since we last tried it on. After our last victory and with another 2 years before the next election, we think we can pull it off. Our economic, cost of living and housing plan hasn’t worked - and we don’t know how to actually fix it. So we’re using community anger to disguise what we’ve always wanted to do as helping people while failing them further.’
Ryan Dally@Ryandally08

Anthony Albanese is questioned by the ABC on his broken election promises and asked how he would describe those statements now: Albo “we changed our position” ABC “no, how would you describe those statements now” Albo “we’ve changed our position” ABC “were they promises?” Albo “they were statements”

#BREAKING Two ISIS Brides who returned to Melbourne will remain in custody, after their bail plans were scrapped. They need to be kept behind bars for as long as humanely possible. They’re not Australians.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the budget this week? Feels like too many Australians are working harder than ever just to stand still. You don’t build a stronger country by making it harder for workers, business owners and families to get ahead.

Yesterday @abcnews posted a story with a headline claiming that 8 million Australians are on income support. This is entirely false but it's being weaponised to demonise people on welfare and undermine the social safety net. It’s a dangerous headline and the ABC needs to fix it.

Today the independent Reserve Bank increased interest rates by 25 basis points. Australians are already paying a hefty price for the war in the Middle East and this decision will make it tougher. It will add to the pressure that families and businesses are under at a time of ongoing global instability. We understand that people are under pressure which is why we’re rolling out responsible cost of living relief. The uncertainty and volatility in the global economy mean there is an even greater premium on responsible fiscal management. In the upcoming Budget, we’ll continue this government’s record of responsible economic management by saving more than we spend and banking all upward revisions to revenue.

@PeterCronau Would the NT Government be as fast to use Assault Equipment if this were a riot by whites?

Any use of a rifle by Police in the streets of Alice Springs is not acceptable as riot control. This is an indication of the parlous state of police-community relations in the NT — which needs to be urgently addressed. The rioting is unacceptable but the firearms are an irresponsible potentially lethal escalation. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-0…

Donations to a party from entities representing hundreds of thousands of workers for campaigns to lobby for the betterment of all Australians, workers and their families is vastly different to elistist billionaire controlling one politician and her cultist party for their own selfish corrupt ways.
