The reason that clip of Kemi Badnoch slapping down the islamo-leftist agitator a hits home is that you can tell she's genuinely sick of them, and her face captures the genuine disgust that so many feel, and that they warrant. Indeed there is something ominous about it, absolutely, BUT I'm starting to mull over another theory too—specifically relating to the sense of how "rushed" multiple governments including the UK's have appeared in recent years. Labour most of all.
Ever since Brexit there's been a palpable sense that somehow someone somewhere is running out of time.
Sometimes it's ramming through assisted suicide. Sometimes it's a Digital ID. Sometimes it's abortion up-to-birth. Sometimes it's a million H1Bs here, there and everywhere. Sometimes it's Canada, sometimes it's Germany, sometimes it's Australia.
But the pattern is always the same: deeply, profoundly unpopular governments ramming through masses of unwanted legislation that they never campaigned on and was never in their electoral literature.
That's what I notice in the broader context of unloved regimes attempting to speedrun bad legislation through their respective parliaments.
VPNs are only one small part of the larger pattern.

But the elites are laughing at us- raking in the cash, chums getting plum jobs while my constituents can't pay their bills. I don't act from ideology- I act for what's best for people. My message has struck a chord because no matter your political opinion, we all agree that our lives are not getting better whilst the elites are thriving. Something has to change. I think it's worth building consensus on that so that all of our people have better lives and that power is held to account. No more elites shafting the little guy and rubbing our face in it!

If - as has been reported - UK Security Vetting’s red light on appointing Mandelson as US ambassador was because he was thought to be too close to a Chinese pharma research firm Wuxi, through Global Counsel, the advisory firm Mandelson founded, why on earth didn’t Robbins force Mandelson to sell his shares in Global Counsel as a condition of becoming ambo? Mandelson kept his stake of just under 20% all through his time as ambassador. He only sold them in Feb this year. Yet another weirdness in this extraordinary story

The police response to the Epsom gang r*pe is absolutely bizarre. 🤔
A woman in her 20s was attacked by multiple men outside Epsom Methodist Church after leaving a nightclub.
Days later, Surrey Police still claim they don’t have “full descriptions” of any suspects – despite the area being packed with CCTV and the victim being supported by specialists.
Surely they must have something by now? Even basic details like height, build, clothing, or accents could help identify them. Minor info matters in cases like this.
I don’t buy it. When they’re this coy about releasing anything, it usually means they’re hiding something.

The pressure has worked. After days of silence, the gathering of residents has forced the Superintendent of Surrey Police to panic and finally agree to a face-to-face meeting this evening at 7:00 PM. He will now speak directly with local Epsom residents and release the information that should have been provided days ago.
