My nephew Caleb’s favorite game is flipping pages of Quality Whitetails and loudly announcing every deer he finds (it’s one of 5 words he knows). @ClemonsNell has requested emergency copies because he’s worn out every issue in her house. Can’t wait for him to see a real one!

It was 72 and overcast at Grace Acres at daylight, mosquitos out, and my Dad had a great morning, saw a lot of deer, and killed a mature 10-pointer. Do not let weather keep you home! When it is prime time (like it is now in SE Ga), the bucks move. Cold front not required!

Killed last weekend next door to Grace Acres in SE Georgia. They’re gonna need a bigger scale.

This is not good. Every few years we see a little hog sign at Grace Acres as they pass through. But now it looks like a small group has moved in to stay. This was one of at least 3 that trotted past a camera last night.

I like to think I’m a skilled predator armed with supreme patience and deadly stealth, but I fall far short of the real masters.
