Cleaned up some bugs but I think this is ready to go. Take control of your fav NFL franchise this offseason. You can sign FA to market contracts, cut/restructure players under contract and of course lead a draft using our mock draft sim. Tm depth charts get updated as you add/cut free agents and draft picks as well. It uses many of the GM traits that Ive dug up over the years so smarter than the avg sim that just uses big boards. Still think there’s a chance he’s the guy at 6. Browns probably have their own measurements (his were different at combine, pro day) and AB has defaulted to production in the past

@Clevta Sure. The numbers are adjusted for opponent strength, but I get what you are saying about matchups. I still think getting 28 less minutes from the 6'1" guy with the lowest Stl% among the regulars and literally 0 blocks probably helps the defense.

Michigan #2 in 2pt% offense in the country (61%). Bama has faced 6 other top 35 2pt offenses this season and allowed 100, 87, 95, 86, 98 and 96 points in those games. Lost 5 of 6 outright and went 1-5 ATS. Another Zona/Ark repeat?

@ahmad_dahman Wills had 34 inch arms so the profile was there at LT. proctor is a LT too fwiw. Just feels like a stretch to not only draft a strictly RT only in college OL but then do it on one with shorter than baseline arm. I just don’t see them making multiple exceptions

@Clevta You think the RT thing is that strict for him or just at 6? He did take wills and flip him (wirfs was RT in college) and most of the OT in this draft were on right side minus Freeling and Lomu

@AudacityOfHoops But that needs context. None of the opponents in those 6 games missed are top offenses. Tennessee is the only half decent one but that’s really it

@Clevta Alabama's average adjusted defensive efficiency, per Torvik: 103.2 with Holloway (25 games) 94.1 without Holloway (6 games) Not playing the shortest guy on the team might help the defense. I'm not saying that they will definitely play better. Just food for thought.

@ahmad_dahman Was longer at pro day but below 33 both times. If he played LT maybe I’d see if but the combo of short arms and exclusive RT at Utah makes it hard to see at 6

@Clevta Weren’t his arms above threshold when measured at pro day? I prefer Freeling’s traits but he did take Mason last year who was on smaller end. I’m sure plans A, B, and C are to get out of 6

I mean I personally, and I know 100% the Browns FO as well, look at most things as a probability not in absolutes so the goal is to maximize odds to get a top QB. Doesn’t mean u auto get that QB just bc u are trying to. But u are trying to get yourself in best position possible. So sure even if your process is correct it doesn’t mean u 100% get a top pick.

@Clevta @SportsBoyTony Im just jaded by everyone saying the same thing about this year and they ended 6 with no way to get to 1. What if there’s only 2 top QB next year and the teams 1-2 need a qb. Plus, I don’t think Jimmy is as smart as that, I believe that he literally is doing moves “to get Arch”

There’s no way to spin it. It doesn’t “help” you get arch. You have to be lucky and somehow get 1.1 for that. It’s just resetting the clock but the problem is we’re already 2 years into this with talent starting to grow. This whole rebuild has been incoherent

@ahmad_dahman @SportsBoyTony Why is it #1 pick or bust? How about ability to get into the top 3-5 either with organic losing or with multiple draft capital in a draft class expected to have multiple good QBs? I don’t think this is a binary outcome

@SportsBoyTony I’m just skeptical with the whole first pick thing regardless. Sure no Myles helps in theory but I still think it’s less than 20% chance it happens with everything that needs to line up. It’s not a plan, and no team with 1 is trading arch for anything

I think Purdue wins tonight but I have to assume this 3pt shooting cools off and really interested to see if TX can take advantage if it does cool off. Went back over the last 25 years and could only find 16 other teams that shot >50% from 3 in the first two rounds like Purdue (a bunch were also elite off tms with great shooting). -In the SW16 these teams went 4-12 ATS and 4-12 SU. - 25% win % vs pre game win expectancy of 47% -7 of the 16 tms were favored but only 2 won outright -In aggregate these tms shot 55% from 3 in the first two rounds but just 36% in the SW16. Only one team (2015 UNC) shot over 50% again in the SW16 while seven of the 16 tms shot <30% from 3

@Clevta I agree with you. It's lazy incomplete analysis. But I'm also saying it does have to do with the other WR on his team because it limits the data you have to work with to evaluate the player. It creates an unknown that doesn't often exist with early R1 WRs.

This stuff really annoys me. Name me the college WR coming out over the last 20 years who wouldn’t have the label of “not even the best receiver on his own team in college” with Jeremiah there? He’s a unicorn, maybe the best WR to ever come out of college (top 5 at least). Jefferson was #2 to Chase, JSN #2-3 to Wilson and Olave. It’s such a lazy comment

@oKHess Evaluate the guy on his own merit. Has nothing to do with the other WR on his team. If u don’t think he’s good enough to beat man press bc he simply was going up against #2 CBs that’s fine but a blanket statement about not being the best WR on your team doesn’t mean anything

@Clevta Agree, but to say "he would've been #1 on any other team" is oversimplification. We don't know how his game will translate when defenses key on him as the top threat in the passing game, because we've never seen it. Worked for JJ and JSN but that doesn't guarantee success for CT.
