I believe in free speech and I believe it must be protected. Even speech that I don’t like and disagree with, and believe me I’m the victim of lots of hateful and untrue speech, but I still believe Americans have the constitutional right to free speech. And most importantly, Americans must retain the right of free speech to criticize their own government and any other government. And I say this as one, who is not only the victim of hateful lying speech, but also as one who had my free speech rights violated when the government told Twitter to permanently ban my personal Twitter account “mtgreenee” in Jan 2022 because I harshly criticized Covid vaccines and mandates. No matter which party is in charge of the government, the government NEVER has the right to take away free speech. And it’s up to YOU, Americans, to never allow your government to take away your constitutional rights. YOU are really in charge, you just have forgotten.
