We can not build a strong base of worker power, worker representation, without respect for our colleagues. And the first step to respecting our peers is to listen when they say that our workplace conditions are hurting them.

Workers – keep sharing your stories. We need to understand what prevents our colleagues from feeling safe and respected in the workplace. Our mission as organizers for any cause – climate, antiracism, AI ethics – is contingent upon building an inclusive, well-supported workforce.

We completely agree. Part of the responsibility of hosting and serving information is grappling with the implication of serving catastrophic lies. The ad dollars just aren't worth it.

Google's carbon-free pledge is both GREAT and NOT ENOUGH. While G still funds climate deniers, sells climate denial ads, and maintains oil&gas contracts, workers will keep speaking up! We can both celebrate our wins and keep an eye on the end goal: a livable, equitable future.

Amazon is afraid of its own workers – and with good cause. This year, Amazon workers showed that they won't sit idly while the company jeopardizes the planet, or the safety of their co-workers during a pandemic. Amazon considers camaraderie a threat. @athenaforall
