Had an incredible time directing a new commercial project last week

Loved Casino Royale but I think the marketing could’ve done better setting this up as a reboot and not a sequel to Brosnan’s Bond. As a life-long Bond fan, it was confusing to see Judi Dench as M suddenly talking about only recently promoting Bond to Double-O status when Brosnan’s Bond referenced her “predecessor” in GoldenEye. Didn’t detract from the film. Just a tad confusing at first

The opening stretch of Casino Royale (2006) instantly sells Daniel Craig as Bond. That brutal bathroom fight and the parkour chase shut down a year of skepticism in about twenty minutes. By the time he delivers “Bond. James Bond.” it’s done.
