Theres also some call backs to subarus (rezero) past life that shapes his character as well. Thats probs why those are considered the 2 best isekai

Gate - the whole point was to use military technology to kill the isekai people. Even Zero no Tsukaima had more of a justification of being an isekai than something like Mushoku Tensei.
