Big teaser but I've been working on a 'boomer shooter creator'. It comes with a sprite editor, a sound creator, a map editor and even visual scripting. You can create/play games, share them on Steam Workshop or... export to Godot! ✨ More on that soon.

seems to me there's no significant border between what makes a "game" and what does not. the game I most played in my childhood was an imaginary platformer looking through a car window. that’s even never released, but it's been surely existing as one of the best games in my life
