@severeerror52 @detector_sm0ke I think the idea might be that while TV shows can have continued syndication (and hence renewed viewership), a weekly magazine or newspaper or whatever "ends" the moment it goes out of print (and thus no new copies are being made, and fans have to rely on second hand markets).

The mass hysteria against these "dogwhistles" is a fairly recent phenomenon and based entirely in just how low trust the general populace is. I can't imagine jumping to accusing strangers, even friends of employing nazi dogwhistles in their speech. Is that not fucking insane???

Server farms have existed for as long as the internet has existed. They powered Wikipedia in 2002, and power "the cloud" and the Internet as we know it. The issue is not with them as a concept, but with how wholly power inefficient and unregulated GenAI data centers are.
