@hauntingfizz He is a very interesting person who I think deserves to be looked into with more depth than he is given, but people will misconstrue "depth" as meaning he has redeemable qualities or a secret good side that needs to be taken out. Or he's just a little guy who needs to be saved.

@hauntingfizz I suppose it's easy for the things I say about Eridan to be taken seriously since I am admittedly a fan of him. But he does Just Kind Of Suck. Also, he is totally the type to look down on pollution as a 'poor people thing.' There is no virtuous motivation behind his actions here.

@v888vvv_ People engage with the epilogues with the "it's meant to be bad fanfiction" idea so engrained in their mind that they are unable to read it on any level except Doylist. It's not misguided people making bad life decisions to them, it's bad writers making bad writing decisions.
