#REPORT: Justice Renu Mandhane has ruled that a temporary foreign worker from Ghana who assaulted a woman and stole her phone will be spared a criminal record to protect him from deportation.

PERMITTED INTIFADA IN BROOKLYN The event had already ended, and the crowd was still moving through residential blocks, passing synagogues, chanting aggressively, blocking streets, and creating an atmosphere of intimidation throughout the neighborhood. Kids, Families and visibly religious Jews were still out walking home while protesters carrying Hamas and Hezbollah flags and shouting Jew hate rhetoric and inflammatory slogans marched through the area. At this point, this was no longer a stationary demonstration. The crowd had spread throughout surrounding streets, disrupting traffic and overwhelming the neighborhood late into the night. I asked an NYPD legal official whether the permit actually allowed protesters to occupy residential intersections, block traffic, and continue amplified chants through the neighborhood. Instead of answering directly, he walked away. People can debate politics all day long.
